Mapping the hippocampal spatial proteomic signature in male and female mice of an early Alzheimer’s disease model
Published 2025-05-01“…Abstract Background Hippocampal dysfunction induced by soluble amyloid-β oligomers (oAβ) is an early neuropathological hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). oAβ shifts hippocampal synaptic-plasticity induction threshold facilitating long-term depression (LTD) instead of long-term potentiation (LTP, the functional basis of memory), thereby leading to memory deficits in early AD-like amyloidosis mouse models. …”

Method for reducing the complexity of clock domain crossing design and its verification in system-on-chips
Published 2012-11-01“…Existing methods for clock domain crossing (CDC) design were used directly in a system-on-chip (SoC),which result in high design and verification complexity. To solve this problem,a design method was proposed. It separated CDC design completely from functional design and transmits all the CDC signals in an IP design with the help of an independent and dedicated CDC processing module. It also scaled down the total number of CDC signals to two groups of opposite directions through encapsulating point-to-point communication interface as well as processing CDC signals of the same direction in combination.Experiment results demonstrate that this method is able to sharply reduce the verification complexity of CDC design and also simplify the whole SoC design, without significant adding to transfer delay or area cost of an IP design.…”

PROCR diminishes the efficacy of radiation by impairing T-cell-mediated antitumour immunity
Published 2025-08-01“…Here, we show that tumour cells expressing protein C receptor (PROCR) dampen antitumour immunity by promoting the production of interleukin-6 (IL-6), which inhibits the differentiation of T helper 1 (Th1) cells and suppresses the function of CD8+ T cells. We also demonstrate that radiation therapy enhances PROCR expression by reducing its selective autophagic degradation through the modulation of p62 phosphorylation, a process governed by mTORC1 signalling. …”

Multiple pathways through which the gut microbiota regulates neuronal mitochondria constitute another possible direction for depression
Published 2025-04-01“…Recent studies have revealed that the gut microbiota and neuronal mitochondrial dysfunction play central roles in the pathogenesis of depression: the gut microbiota influences the course of depression through multiple pathways, including immune regulation, HPA axis modulation and neurotransmitter metabolism. Mitochondrial function serves as a key hub that mediates mood disorders through mechanisms such as defective energy metabolism, impaired neuroplasticity and amplified neuroinflammation. …”
