The effect of Zexie decoction on vestibular and auditory function in DDAVP-induced endolymphatic hydrops of Guinea pigs
Published 2025-02-01“…On day 14, one guinea pig was randomly selected from both the normal control group and DDAVP group to verify the successful establishment of the model using gadolinium-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of the inner ear.ResultsWe conducted BC-cVEMP, ABR, and DPOAE tests on guinea pigs, and the results showed that DDAVP did affect vestibular function and hearing in guinea pigs. Analyses were performed from those results that were statistically significant, Zexie Decoction improved DDAVP-induced vestibular dysfunction and hearing loss dose-dependently, though complete reversal was not achieved. …”

α-synuclein expression in glioblastoma restores tumor suppressor function and rescues temozolomide drug resistance
Published 2025-03-01“…The purpose of this study is to determine the implication of α-syn in glioblastoma development and elucidate how it elicits a tumor suppressor function. We show that the expression of α-syn, a TP53 transcriptional target and a key molecular player in Parkinson’s disease, is detected in 1p/19q-codeleted and isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)-mutant oligodendroglioma and in IDH-wild-type glioblastoma, while reduced in glioblastoma biopsies, corroborating the link of α-syn expression with a better prognosis among all glioma patients. …”
