Loss of correlated proteasomal subunit expression selectively promotes the 20SHigh state which underlies luminal breast tumorigenicity
Published 2025-01-01“…By retaining connectivity with key tumor 19S:20S interface nodes, the PSMD9 19S subunit chaperone emerges as a crucial regulator of 26S/30S:20S ratios sustaining tumor cell proteasome function. Disrupting this connectivity by depleting PSMD9 in MCF7 cells introduces structural anomalies in the proteasome, and shifts dependence from 20SHigh to a deregulated 26SHigh state invoking anti-tumor responses which opens up clinically-relevant therapeutic possibilities.…”

Self-powered triboelectric-responsive microneedles with controllable release of optogenetically engineered extracellular vesicles for intervertebral disc degeneration repair
Published 2024-07-01“…Optogenetically engineered EVs deliver TRAM1 protein into senescent NP cells, which effectively reconstructs the elimination function of TREX1. Triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) harvests mechanical energy and triggers the controllable release of engineered EVs. …”

PROVISION OF RELIABILITY OF HOMOGENEOUS REGISTER MEDIA WITH PROGRAMMED SLIDING REDUNDANCY STRUCTURE
Published 2017-03-01“…It is proposed that functional models of media elements be oriented towards the presence of their internal redunant elements; on the basis of the established functional dependence of the number of external redundant elements with the number of internal redundant elements, we calculated the reliability of redundant media, thus confirming reliability improvement. …”

Unusual case of cleft hand
Published 2007-07-01“…we present a case of a six-year-old male child with cleft hand deformity involving the dominant right hand. it was a rare case of atypical cleft hand with no missing tissue but cleft extending to metacarpal level and associated hypoplasia of thumb and index finger. as per manske′s classification of cleft hand our patient belongs to the class iii variety. there was associated malposition of the index finger with absence of first web space and syndactly of thumb and index finger at the metacarpal level. a modified snow-littler procedure was planned. the surgical plan involved closure of cleft, release of thumb and index finger syndactly and reconstruction of the first web space. the functional outcome was good considering hypoplasia of the index finger and thumb. depending upon the function of the thumb tendon transfers can be planned to augment thumb function at a later date along with correction of rotational deformities of the index and middle finger.…”

A cyclophilin homology domain-independent role for Nup358 in HIV-1 infection.
Published 2014-02-01“…Experiments with cylosporine, viruses with capsids that do not bind cyclophilins, and growth arrest did not uncover viral dependency on the C-terminal domains of Nup358. Our data reinforce the virological importance of TNPO3 and show that Nup358 supports nuclear transport functions important for cellular homeostasis and for HIV-1 nuclear import. …”
