Influence of Polygon Wheel on Dynamic Performance of Meter-gauge Locomotive

The results showed that due to the low running speed of the meter-gauge locomotive, the polygon wheel will form low frequency vibration which will increase the vibration response of the car body; the polygon wheel will greatly increase the wheel-rail vertical forces, but it has little effect on the derailment coefficient; the wave depth limit is inversely proportional to the running speed of the locomotive and the harmonic order; the track excitation will not cover the trend caused by polygon wheel, but it will greatly increase the wheel-rail vertical forces. …”
