Flow-of-traffic prediction program based mobile edge computing for Internet of vehicles using double auction by Yan LIN, Shuai YAN, Yijin ZHANG, Chunguo LI, Feng SHU

    Published 2020-12-01
“…With an aim of maximizing the efficiency of edge offloading and the resource utilization of edge computing server simultaneously, a new flow-of-traffic prediction based edge computing offloading solution was proposed for Internet of vehicles (IoV).Firstly, both the efficiency utility function of vehicle and the resource utilization of mobile edge computing (MEC) server were established by considering task priority.Next, the formulated dual-objective optimization problem was transformed into a double auction problem between vehicles and MEC servers. Finally, based on the designed flow-of-traffic based pricing function of vehicle and MEC server, a McAfee auction algorithm was adopted to complete the edge computing process.Simulation results show that benefiting from the flow-of-traffic prediction information, the proposed solution can significantly improve both the efficiency of computation offloading and the utilization of computation resource.…”

Hydrochemical Characteristics and Control Factors of Strontium Enrichment of Groundwater in the Eastern Sanjiang Plain, China by Jingjie Li, Mingguo Wang, Tao Yang, Sheng Lian, Huaisheng Zhang, Chao Bian, Xuqing Wang, Shixiong Tian

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Strontium (Sr) is one of the essential trace elements in the human body, which has important biological significance for human physiological function. In this paper, 41 groundwater samples collected from Shengli Farm in the eastern Sanjiang Plain were used to study the hydrochemical characteristics of Sr2+ enrichment and its control factors by correlation analysis, principal component analysis, and Gibbs model, which is helpful to guide the rational development and utilization of local groundwater resources and ecological environment protection. The findings indicate that the groundwater exists in a reducing environment characterized by acidity and low salinity, with predominant cations being Ca2+ and Mg2+, and predominant anions being HCO3−. …”

Routing algorithm for MPLS traffic engineering in satellite network by XIAO Fu1, SUN Li-juan1, YE Xiao-guo1, WANG Ru-chuan1

    Published 2011-01-01
“…With regard to long transmission delay and dynamic topology characters in satellite network,a novel routing algorithm was proposed in multi-protocol label switching satellite network. The algorithm uses the prior knowledge of source-destination pairs, and link propagation delay is also considered.Based on time-varying topology snapshot of satellite network, initial link weight is defined as function of transmission delay and residual bandwidth. Both current request and future requests are in account when calculate critical degree. Thus traffic engineering is realized by link weight dynamic adjustment and critical links extension loaded, which guarantee resource utilized better.Simulation results demonstrate the algorithm performs better in terms of request reject ratio, total available flow, average hop and transmission delay of least interference paths.…”

Load balancing method of service cluster based on mean-variance by Xiaoan BAO, Xue WEI, Lei CHEN, Guoheng HU, Na ZHANG

    Published 2017-01-01
“…When a large number of concurrent requests are allocated, the load scheduling mechanism is to achieve the load balancing of nodes in the network by minimizing the response time and maximizing the utilization ratio of nodes. In the load balancing algorithm based on genetic algorithm, the fitness function is designed to have an important influence on the load balancing efficiency.A service cluster load balancing method based on mean-variance was proposed to optimize the fitness function. The investment portfolio selection model mean-variance was used to minimize the response time, which was used to get the weight of each server's resource utilization,so as to obtain the optimal allocation combination. This method improves the accuracy and efficiency of the fitness function.Compared with other models in different service environment, the simulation results show that the load balancing algorithm makes the service cluster get a better balance performance in terms of node utilization and response time.…”
