A Systematic Search for Candidate Supermassive Black Hole Binaries Using Periodic Mid-infrared Light Curves of Active Galactic Nuclei by Di Luo, Ning Jiang, Xin Liu

    Published 2024-01-01
“…Analyzing a parent sample of 48,932 objects selected from about half a million AGNs, we have identified 28 candidate periodic AGNs with periods ranging from 1268 to 2437 days (in the observer frame), by fitting their WISE light curves with sinusoidal functions. However, our mock simulation of the parent sample indicates that stochastic variability can actually produce a similar number of periodic sources, underscoring the difficulty in robustly identifying real periodic signals with WISE light curves, given their current sampling. …”

THE USING OF DIGITAL TOOLS IN THE PROJECT ACTIVITIES OF STUDENTS OF PEDAGOGICAL SPECIALTIES OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS by Liudmyla Nezhyva, Svitlana Palamar, Nataliia Semenii

    Published 2024-06-01
“…The main criteria for selecting digital tools were: simple interface (so students can master its functionality faster); compliance to the State Standard for Primary Education; didactic value; accessibility (the age of pupils and the ability to comprehend tasks developed with the help of the proposed digital tools were taken into account); technical and methodological support (present on all proposed digital resources, which facilitates understanding of their interface); very important criterion is the wide functionality on a free basis; the ability to adapt in various modern conditions during offline and online learning.  …”

Comparison of Two System Identification Approaches for a Four-Wheel Differential Robot Based on Velocity Command Execution by Diego Guffanti, Moisés Filiberto Mora Murillo, Marco Alejandro Hinojosa, Santiago Bustamante Sanchez, Javier Oswaldo Obregón Gutiérrez, Nelson Gutiérrez, Miguel Sánchez

    Published 2025-06-01
“…These results demonstrate the relationship between model complexity and accuracy and suggest that the motor-specific model is more appropriate for applications requiring precise mapping or localization, such as SLAM, while the simplified model may be suitable for simpler use cases with lower computational requirements, such as embedded systems with limited resources. This paper provides a practical evaluation of the accuracy and computational performance of two modeling approaches, highlighting the implications of model selection for the design of navigation tasks.…”

Analyzing the Impact of Macro-Economic Factors and Taxation Manoeuvre on Federal Budget Revenues in the Russian Federation by E. S. Inozemtcev, O. V. Kochetygova, M. A. Katkova

    Published 2018-12-01
“…The authors use the integral factor analysis of the absolute growth in federal budget revenues in Russia in assumption of simultaneous changes in factors on the indicator function. Conventional methods of determinate factor analysis, including the method of chain substitution imply successive change in factors. …”
