System Eliminating Emergency Discharges in Industrial Facilities Waste Waters Using Relative Signal Description
Published 2022-07-01“…The relative description on the components of the lattice function of the spectrum of emergency discharges is used, constructed using the order ratio between the components of the lattice function. The emergency discharge identification can be implemented by comparing the relative description of the emergency discharge spectrum with the reference spectra for the harmful substances that can be present at the given industrial facility, and the standards of the spectra of these substances are presented in the form of a relative description using the ratio “more”–“less”.The authors provide a flow chart for the emergency discharge elimination system, describe its operation and the functions fulfilled by its elements. …”

Genomic saturation mutagenesis and polygenic analysis identify novel yeast genes affecting ethyl acetate production, a non-selectable polygenic trait
Published 2016-03-01“…The case of CEM1 revealed that relevant mutations without observable effect in the haploid strain with multiple induced mutations (in this case due to defective mitochondria) can be identified by polygenic analysis as long as the mutations have an effect in part of the segregants (in this case those that regained fully functional mitochondria). Our results show that genomic saturation mutagenesis combined with complex trait polygenic analysis could be used successfully to identify causative alleles underlying many non-selectable, polygenic traits in small collections of haploid strains with multiple induced mutations.…”

Photoredox/Cr-catalyzed enantioselective radical-polar crossover transformation via C-H functionalization
Published 2025-02-01“…The realm of enantioselective radical-polar crossover transformation achieved through C-H Functionalization has yet to be fully explored. Herein, we present a successful description of a photoredox/Cr-catalyzed enantioselective three-component (hetero)arylalkylation of 1,3-dienes through C-H functionalization. …”

Proteolysis and volatile compounds in Mediterranean buffalo milk blue cheese: Quality determinants and functional peptides
Published 2025-06-01“…This study explores the proteolytic changes and volatile organic compound (VOC) profiles occurring during the ripening of Mediterranean buffalo milk blue cheese. The main objective was to characterize bioactive peptides, casein phosphopeptides, and volatile compounds and to assess their potential implications for functional food development.Peptide profiling was conducted using nanoLC-ESI-MS/MS and MALDI-TOF-MS, while VOCs were analyzed via headspace solid-phase microextraction coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME)-GC-MS.β-casein emerged as the predominant source of bioactive peptides, including sequences with predicted ACE-inhibitory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant activities. …”
