    “…Nowadays the technology of electric wheel is widely used in new energy vehicles.An electric wheel based on a new type of cycloid envelope planetary reducer is proposed.The PM brushless DC motor is selected as a power source.The cycloid envelope planetary reducer with high load capacity,small volume and high stiffness is the main drive device.The overall design of motor-driving device-wheel housing is realized.The main meshing pair of this high performance cycloid reducer with floating disc type output mechanism is composed of cycloid gear and double-envelope internal gear.The meshing and tooth profile equations of cycloid double-envelope internal gear are respectively derived.The characteristic of secondary action during the engagement process is demonstrated.This developed electric wheel based on the cycloid envelope planetary reducer has the characteristics of large overload capacity,small volume,high integration and low manufacturing cost.It can be applied to electric vehicles and achieve the function of single-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.…”
