A window into the mind-brain-body interplay: Development of diagnostic, prognostic biomarkers, and rehabilitation strategies in functional motor disorders.
Published 2024-01-01“…The old concept of psychological factors as the primary cause (conversion disorder) has been abandoned due to the need for more evidence about their causal role. According to a predictive coding account, the emerging idea is that symptoms and disability may depend on dysfunctions of a specific neural system integrating interoception, exteroception, and motor control. …”

LPRLC: Linear predictive run length coding to improve energy consumption of wireless body area networks
Published 2025-09-01“…To solve these problems and reduce energy consumption, the Linear Predictive Run Length Coding (LPRLC) is provided, which has three phases. First- Linear Predictive Coding (LPC) for data prediction, Second- Error calculation, Third- Error coding with Run Length Encoding (RLE) for data compression. …”

Influences of substrate and tissue type on erinacine production and biosynthetic gene expression in Hericium erinaceus
Published 2025-04-01“…Results In this study, we compared erinacine production in H. erinaceus fruit body to mycelial tissue cultivated in two liquid media formulations (Complex and Minimal) by quantifying mRNA transcript levels of the erinacine biosynthetic genes eriE, eriG, eriI, eriC, eriJ, eriB, and eriM (collectively, eri genes) alongside high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) evaluation of erinacines Q, P, A, and C. We also predicted coding sequences for these seven eri genes. The Complex media preparation yielded mycelium with significantly higher erinacine C content, while the Minimal media yielded mycelium with greater erinacine Q content, suggesting an alteration of the biosynthetic pathway related to differences in substrate composition. …”

Spatial navigation entropy suggests allocentric dysfunction in PPPD
Published 2025-05-01“…VR intolerance was highest in PPPD patients, followed by vestibular controls, with healthy volunteers showing the lowest discomfort.DiscussionOur findings suggest that PPPD involves deficits in allocentric spatial navigation, likely due to predictive coding errors and impaired internal model updating, rather than sensory input dysfunction. …”
