Delay analysis of multi-state Markov channels
Published 2016-09-01“…With the rapid development of wireless technology,the wireless communication offers great flexibility and convenience to mobile users.However,due to the slow/fast fading caused by multipath effect,the transmission rate of wireless fading channel is unstable,which will affect the transmission delay and communication quality.In literature,the wireless fading channel is also called Markov channel.The transition of channel state is controlled by a Markov chain.A detailed analysis was given for a three-state Markov channel.The whole system was modeled as an M/MMSP/1 queuing system considering the arrivals and services of packets.By defining conditional start service probability and conditional expected delay,the analytical expressions of mean service time and mean waiting time of packets were given using the state transition matrix.At last,by discussing the mean waiting time in limiting cases,the factors that affect the delay were given.…”

Published 2012-11-01“…A guess and determine attack on E<sub>0</sub>was presented,the stream cipher that was used in the short-range wireless technology Bluetooth.In the attack,an ingenious assumption by linear approximation to diminish the number of values that have to be guessed was made.Futher more,a test equation to reduce the number of the guessed candidates was used.The guess and determine attack on E<sub>0</sub>with time complexity of O(2<sup>76</sup>)required about 988 keystream bit.Compared with long keystream attacks,short keystream attacks were more threatening to E<sub>0</sub>cipher which require less than 2 745 bit.This attack which belongs to short keystream attack was the fastest state recovery attack on E<sub>0</sub>so far compared with any other existed short keystream attacks.…”

Research on integrated communication and positioning technology based on visible light
Published 2023-05-01“…Visible light wireless technology transmits information through visible light, utilizing light-emitting diode (LED) light sources to achieve communication and positioning while illuminating.Visible light communication positioning integration (VLCP) technology is one of the key supporting technologies for future large-scale Internet of things (IoT) applications.Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology can be used to allocate different spectral resources to visible light communication (VLC) and visible light positioning (VLP) systems, while achieving communication and positioning functions.Resource allocation is the key to improving the efficiency of VLCP systems and expanding their applicability.A new resource allocation method based on error vector magnitude(EVM) was proposed.EVM was utilized to allocate subcarriers for positioning and communication in VLCP systems, communication and positioning performance was dynamically adjusted based on channel parameters, system quality of service (QoS) was ensured, and system channel utilization was improved.The experimental results indicate that at 1.5 m×1.5 m×1.5 m indoor environment, the proposed resource allocation algorithm can improve channel utilization by at least 19.5% compared to fixed resource allocation algorithms.Under the premise of comparable performance to algorithms that use signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for resource allocation, it greatly saves system resources and is easy to apply in practice.…”
