Performance analysis of 60 GHz pulse multiuser communication system based on cross-layer strategy
Published 2018-09-01“…Due to the advantages of license-free,strong directionality, high system capacity, and high transmission rate of Gbit/s,60 GHz band is listed as one of the candidate bands for new radios (new radio). In 5G ultra-dense networking scenario, the randomness of node switching caused by the decrease of the distance between network nodes may cause severe multiple access interference and resource mismatch problems. In this regard, based on the concept of cross-layer collaborative design,a resource scheduling strategy based on fairness was proposed. The multiple access performance of the strategy was simulated in a 60 GHz pulsed wireless communication system based on TH-PAM (time hopping pulse amplitude modulation).Simulation results show that compared with the system with pure physical layer optimization algorithm, the multiple access system which adopts this strategy shows stronger fairness and lower system error rate, but it needs increase the transmission power to meet the requirements of the coverage of the equivalent communication system. That is,there is a certain trade-off between the energy and fairness of the system, which can be used to guide the structure and deployment of the actual communication system.…”

Green communication and networking for Carbon-peaking and Carbon-neutrality: challenges and solutions
Published 2022-02-01“…Driven by the Carbon-peaking and Carbon-neutrality strategic goals, future mobile communication and networks need to drastically reduce energy consumption while satisfying the growing traffic demand. Therefore, it is necessary to study the theories and technologies used to send more information bits with less energy (SMILE).To meet the challenge, it was far from enough to rely solely on the improvements of wireless transmission technologies and hardware. It was necessary to explore efficient energy utilization mechanisms from the perspective of the system and network. Both energy saving and renewable energy utilization approaches were proposed, and solutions for the growing computing energy consumption were provided.Specifically, by introducing hyper-cellular network, agile coverage and elastic access were realized, and thus service base stations and edge servers could enter the sleeping mode to save energy when the traffic volume was low.Meanwhile, by the introduction of renewable energy and the smart adaption of energy flow and information flow, the energy consumption of the power grid could be greatly reduced.Furthermore, green computing and artificial intelligence could be realized through network function virtualization, energy-efficient coordination of communication and compute resources, and distributed computing and coordination approaches of moving agents.…”

Research on the edge-end collaboration framework for deterministic network
Published 2022-05-01“…5G vertical industries such as industrial automatic control have strict requirements on network transmission delay and reliability. It was focused on the AGV collaborative carrying scenarios, in which the key quality indicator (KQI) of the AGV collaboration and the requirements for network jitter were analyzed.Existing 5G ultra-low-latency technologies, such as the pre-scheduling mechanism, reduce transmission scheduling latency by reserving a large number of time-frequency resources, which heavily decreases spectrum efficiency. In addition, wireless channel quality factors such as weak coverage and interference, often cause large jitter, making it difficult to meet the service reliability requirements. In order to deal with these challenges, a deterministic edge-end cooperation framework design to guarantee end-to-end latency was proposed.Based on service flow characteristics, resource reservation was utilized to reduce scheduling latency. Moreover, the proposed framework could enhance data transmissions when poor status of channels was sensed. The experimental results show that the edge-end collaboration framework design can effectively increase the delay reliability, reduce the large jitter, and improve the KQI of AGV collaboration.…”

mmWave radar based robust sign language recognition for the smart museum
Published 2023-08-01“…A smart museum is a new form of a museum, which uses devices or technologies including the Internet of things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) to build the information interaction channels between people, things, and space.Sign language recognition not only assists the visitors who have hearing or speech impairment to visit the museum without barriers but also helps study the visitors’ natural gesture interaction. However, the methods based on cameras and wearable devices mayhave issues like privacy or usability when applied to museum spaces. Therefore, a robust sign language recognition method based on millimeter-wave radar was proposed.Different features of distance and velocity changes relative to the radar device were firstly extracted in this method, then a physical data enhancement method was adopted to expand the training data. Finally, a ResNet based on the pre-processed distance time features and Doppler time features was designed to further remove the environment-related information and perform feature fusion for classification.Experimental results show that this method can effectively recognize sign language and achieve an averaged recognition accuracy of over 90% when the testing environment and the user's location change, providing a new method for smart museum wireless sign language and gesture recognition.…”

Multi-source information transmission and classification algorithm for equipment based on compressed sensing
Published 2020-02-01“…Aiming at the characteristics of various types of equipment in coal preparation plant and the dispersion of monitoring points,a multi-source information wireless transmission and classification algorithm for equipment based on compressed sensing was proposed.By constructing a multi-hop information transmission model, the information transmission problem was transformed into the compressed sensing problem of multi-path measurement signals, thereby the measurement matrix acquisition was transformed into the routing problem of the multi-hop information transmission model.Aiming at the large coherence of the obtained measurement matrix and affecting the signal reconstruction effect, the idea of random routing was introduced into the routing construction, and a random dynamic self-organizing routing algorithm was proposed. In order to solve the problem that the time domain features of the reconstructed signal were difficult to accurately classify the fault type,a new time domain feature, the total variation (TV) of the vibration signal, was introduced for the reconstructed signal, and the compensation distance estimation algorithm was adopted to verify the superiority of the introduction of indicators. The analysis of the measured data of the coal preparation plant shows that the proposed multi-source information transmission and classification algorithm can effectively improve the fault recognition accuracy under the condition of improving the real-time transmission efficiency of the monitoring data.…”
