RIS-assisted terahertz frequency band vehicle network capacity optimization by Fatang CHEN, Xiaoling LIU, Dan WANG, Ruofan ZHANG

    Published 2023-10-01
“…In order to alleviate the spectrum scarcity and capacity limitation of the current wireless system, the terahertz frequency band was introduced and the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) was used for auxiliary communication to construct a downlink vehicle network.Considering the constraints of limited total system power, QoS constraints of cellular mobile users, and randomness constraints of vehicle and user locations, a hybrid optimization model was established for optimal power allocation and optimal deployment of RIS with the aim of maximizing the total rate of vehicle users.Based on the balance method, linear transformation method, and element elimination method, the original NP-hard problem was transformed into a convex optimization problem with complex correlation constraints and multivariate coupling. The inner layer iteration was based on the Lagrange multiplier method to solve the optimal power allocation, and the outer layer iteratively solved the optimal deployment of RIS based on a improved genetic algorithm. The simulation results show that rationally deploying the number and distribution density of RIS nodes based on optimal power allocation can save costs while achieving a higher target total capacity.…”

Intelligent CSI feedback method for fast time-varying FDD massive MIMO system by Yong LIAO, Shuai WANG, Ning SUN

    Published 2021-07-01
“…In the frequency division duplexing (FDD) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system, the channel state information (CSI) matrix existed noise caused by the wireless channel interference and the time correlation caused by Doppler shift.Because of these effects, the communication system couldn’t guarantee the requirements of reliability and low delay. An intelligent CSI feedback method was adopted. The convolutional neural network (CNN) and batch normalization (BN) network was used to extract the noise in the CSI matrix and learned the spatial structure of the channel. The time correlation between the CSI matrices through the attention mechanism was extracted to improve the accuracy of CSI reconstruction. The data was generated by the standard fast time-varying channel model simulation to train the network offline.System simulation and analysis show that the proposed method can effectively suppress the influence of noise and extract the time correlation caused by Doppler.Compared with the traditional CSI compression feedback algorithm and CsiNet algorithm, the proposed method has better NMSE and cosine similarity performance.…”

Low-power transmission method for uplink millimeter-wave massive MIMO-NOMA system based on GSIC by Hui WANG, Qixin TAI, Liu LIU, Hong WANG, Rongfang SONG

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The combination of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and millimeter-wave (mmWave) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) can meet the requirements for huge throughput and massive connectivity in future wireless communication network. The total system power minimization for uplink mmWave massive MIMO-NOMA was studied, and a novel framework for a hybrid beamforming mmWave massive MIMO-NOMA uplink transmission system was proposed based on group-level successive interference cancellation (GSIC).Specifically, users were grouped according to channel gain, intergroup users being served by NOMA and intra group users being served by space division multiple access.By designing analog beamforming matrices for different groups and performing joint optimization for digital beamforming and power control, a parallel iterative algorithm was proposed to solve the optimization problem.Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional mmWave massive MIMO-NOMA based on clustering and user-level SIC in terms of total power consumption.…”

    Published 2022-08-01
“…Given the impact of limited wireless resources, a dynamic multi-dimensional resource joint management algorithm was proposed, which intended to tackle the problem of device failure and training interruption caused by the limited battery energy in federated learning network in industrial Internet of things (IIoT).Firstly, the optimization problem was decoupled into battery energy allocation, equipment resource allocation and communication resource allocation sub-problems which were interdependent with the goal of maximizing the fixed-time learning accuracy. Then, the equipment transmission and computing resource allocation problem were solved based on particle swarm optimization algorithm under the given energy budget.Thereafter, the resource block iterative matching algorithm was proposed to optimize the optimal communication resource allocation strategy. Finally, the online energy allocation algorithm was proposed to adjust the energy budget allocation.Simulation results validate the proposed algorithm can improve the model learning accuracy compared with other benchmarks, and can perform better in energy shortage scenarios.…”

3D channel modeling and space-time correlation analysis for V2V communications by Wenbo ZENG, Yigang HE, Bing LI, Guolong SHI, Feng ZHAO

    Published 2019-06-01
“…To match complex wireless propagation scenarios,an improved 3D geometry-based stochastic model was proposed for vehicle to vehicle (V2V) communications channel. The exact relationship between the azimuth angle and elevation angle was taken into account and the corresponding space–time correlation function and space–Doppler power spectral density were derived, and the influence of important factors was analyzed. The observations and conclusions show that correlation characteristics is closely related to distribution of the scatterers and the angle of the antenna array under the non-isotropic scattering environment and is affected by the elevation angle of the antenna array under the isotropic scattering environment. And the space-time correlation characteristics in high vehicular traffic density is significantly lower than that in low vehicular traffic density. The corresponding simulation model is also derived by using a reasonable parameter calculation method. The simulation results validate the rationality of proposed model. It greatly improves analysis and simulation efficiency of V2V MIMO system.…”
