On-board Multi-User Detection Algorithm Based on Conditional Neural Process by Yilun LIU, Liang JIN, Jiali LI, Lidong ZHU

    Published 2021-12-01
“…With the characteristics of all-terrain, all-weather and seamless coverage, satellite communications have become a potentially important part of 6G.An important prerequisite for achieving satellite intelligence is that the satellite have on-board processing capabilities.Multi-user detection (MUD) is a classic method of suppressing multiple access interference (MAI) in wireless communication, such as MMSE, Gaussian processregression (GPR) and other algorithms.Due to the inverse matrix required in the detection process, the algorithm complexity is usually cubic, and it is diff cult to directly apply to satellite platforms because of its limited processing capabilities. The conditional neural process combined the characteristics of the low complexity of the neural network and the data-eff cient of the Gaussian process. The neural network was used to parameterized the Gaussian process to avoided the inversion of the matrix, thereby reduced the computational complexity. The application of conditional neural process in MUD was studied. The simulation results showed that, while reduced complexity, conditional neural process also greatly improved the performance of bit error rate (BER).…”

    Published 2021-12-01
“…Aiming at the problem that in the current space, non-geostationary satellite orbit (NGSO) constellation systems were increasing day by day, there are more and more satellite networks nearby orbiting using the same frequency band, and the problem of co-channel interference between NGSO constellation systems and between NGSO constellation systems and traditional geostationary satellite orbit (GSO) constellation systems had become increasingly serious, the interference alignment algorithms of wireless communication was proposed, which matches the precoding matrix of the characteristic channel at the transmitter according to the transmission channel information of the satellite network to alleviate the co-channel interference problem of the low-orbit satellite network. The ChinaSat, OneWeb and Fortran systems were used to simulate and compare the interference values before and after using the interference alignment algorithms, which proves the feasibility of the proposed method and provides a reference for future research on such problems.…”

Outage performance analysis for multi-UAV relay systems with threshold-based DF protocol by Zhenlei DAN, Xuewen WU, Jian OUYANG, Xiaoxiao WANG, Chenwei GU

    Published 2020-08-01
“…The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) relay system has become a hot topic as an effective method for the remote transmission in wireless communications.By taking path loss into account,a relay cooperative transmission system model based on multiple UAVs was established firstly, and the maximum output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the system with threshold-based decode-and-forward (DF) protocol was obtained. Then,by assuming that both the uplink and downlink experience Rician distribution, the closed-form expression for outage probability (OP) of the considered system with multiple UAVs was derived.Furthermore, the asymptotic OP formula at high SNR was also derived to show the diversity order and array gain of the considered system, which were convenient to reveal the effects of system parameters on the outage performance. Finally, the computer simulations verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis, and reveal the effect of the relay number, antenna number and the threshold on the system outage performance, thus the proposed scheme can provide guidance for the system design and application.…”

Semantic communication networking for the intelligence of everything by Guangming SHI, Yong XIAO, Yingyu LI, Dahua GAO, Xuemei XIE

    Published 2021-06-01
“…With the fast growing demand for the wireless network intelligence, the future communication system will transform from the traditional data-oriented solution to a novel intelligence-of-everything (IoE)-based architecture.Semantic communication is a new communication technology which involves the meaning of message into the communication process. It is believed that semantic communication will have the potential to serve as the fundamental paradigm for the future IoE.The relationship between the semantic communication and IoE was discussed and the basic models and fundamental components of semantic communication were introduced.By discussing the limitations of point-to-point semantic communication, it was argued that the knowledge sharing and resource convergence-based semantic communication networking would be ideal for supporting the future massive scales of IoE systems. The basic components of the semantic communication networking system were discussed and a federated edge intelligence-based semantic communication networking architecture as a case study was considered.Simulation results show that semantic communication networking has the potential to further reduce the resource demand and improve the efficiency of semantic communication. Finally, open problems for future research were discussed.…”

Optimization scheme for the SWIPT-NOMA opportunity cooperative system by Taoshen LI, Qianli NING, Zhe WANG

    Published 2020-08-01
“…In order to improve the spectrum efficiency and performance of the simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) system, the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technology was introduced to construct the SWIPT-NOMA opportunistic relay system model. The fixed signal power allocation couldn’t adjust with other parameters of the system, and then affect the outage probability and resource utilization of the system. Therefore,a joint signal power and time allocation scheme was proposed to improve the system outage performance. In the proposed scheme, the expression of signal power distribution was obtained under the condition of satisfying the quality of service (QoS) rate of the node with poor channel state, and then the relation between the interruption probability and the time distribution of the system was deduced, the time allocation parameter was adjusted to affect the outage probability. The simulation results show that the constructed NOMA system has better outage performance than orthogonal multiple access (OMA) system, and the proposed joint signal power and time allocation outage scheme can effectively reduce the interruption probability of the system and improve the system performance.…”

    Published 2020-09-01
“…Aiming at the problem of mass data content transmission and limited wireless backhaul resource of UAV in UAV-assisted cellular network,a cooperative caching algorithm for cache-enabled UAV and user was proposed.By deploying caches on UAV and user device, the popular content requested by user was cached and delivered, which alleviated the backhaul resource and energy consumption of UAV,reduced the traffic load and user delay.A joint optimization problem of UAV and user caching was established with the goal of minimizing user content acquisition delay, and decomposed into UAV caching sub-problem and user caching sub-problem,which were solved based on alternating direction method of multiplier and global greedy algorithm respectively. The iterative way was used to obtain convergent optimization result, and the cooperative caching of UAV and user was realized.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce user content acquisition delay and improve system performance.…”
