The Circulation Distribution on the Lifting Line for a Given Extracted Power by Ali Helali, Badreddine Kamoun, David Afungchui, Mohamed Jomaa Safi

    Published 2012-01-01
“…Presently, there exist few numerical methods which treat the inverse problem for the determination of the geometry of wind turbine blades. In this work, authors intend to solve the inverse optimum project for horizontal axis wind turbine in which the selection of the circulation distribution is obtained by resolving two variational problems: the first consists in sorting the circulation distribution on the lifting line, which, for a given power extracted by the wind turbine, minimizes the loses due to the induced velocity. …”

Numercial Calculation of Time-varying Meshing Stiffness of Spur Gear based on Weber Energy Method by Yang Changhui, Xu Taojin, Xu Hongbin, Wang Zhiqiang, Liang Juke, Li Bingqian

    Published 2015-01-01
“…Based on the Weber energy method, the numerical integral calculation formula of timevarying meshing stiffness for spur gear is derived. The meshing points are obtained by using the method of variable increment and infinite approximation method.By using this method, the meshing points location of the gear after tooth profile modification can be easily obtained. It is convenient for the study of the tooth profile modification. And by changing the value of the increment, the accuracy errors of the position of the meshing points can be controlled within 10-4 mm.And some MATLAB programs are written to calculate the time-varying meshing stiffness of the first stage planetary spur gear of a high-power wind turbine gearbox, thus it will lay the foundation for the subsequent dynamics analysis of wind turbine gearbox.…”

Dynamic Meshing Characteristic Analysis of Wind Power Planetary Gear Train by Yang Haiwan, Mutellip Ahmat, Zhao Yang

    Published 2015-01-01
“…The dynamic meshing study is essential for the wind turbine which works in a harsh condition, especially, the gear train will be destructed by the time-varying load.Taking a wind turbine helical planetary gear train as study object, considering the influence of a variety of clearance and friction on meshing,a FEM model is built.By using the nonlinear dynamics method, the variation law of the gear tooth root bending stresses in the processing of the planet gear meshing with the sun gear or the internal gear is studied, the influence of the rotating speed on the meshing impact stresses is analyzed.Though the analyzing, with the speed increasing, the meshing stresses curve could get ahead, the impact stress of gear box and drive shaft will increase, while the curve of the impact stress are overall forward. However, the impact stress can’t always increase with the impact speed increasing.…”
