Estimation of Dry Season Irrigation Water Abstraction in Lunsemfwa, Mulungushi, Mwomboshi, and Mkushi Subbasins from 2013 to 2017 in Zambia
Published 2019-01-01“…The results estimate that a total maximum abstraction of 119,680,200 m3 was in 2013, and a minimum estimate of 74,951,400 m3 was in 2014. Wheat abstraction volumes (which were used to represent crops with higher water demand) were compared between catchments and significant differences exist when comparing Lunsemfwa catchment to Mkushi, Mulungushi, and Mwomboshi; thus there were no chances of similarity at an alpha level of 0.05. …”

Evidence of Tectonic Control on the Geochemical Features of the Volatiles Vented along the Nebrodi-Peloritani Mts (Southern Apennine Chain, Italy)
Published 2019-01-01“…We propose that the degassing regime as well as the geochemical features of both the dissolved and bubbling gases is closely connected to the strain accumulation rate, inducing almost no temporal changes and insignificant deep-originated fluid contributions to the locked fault volumes. Investigations including discrete and continuous monitoring and degassing-rate estimations are useful tools to gain a better insight into the evolution of seismogenesis, considering the fault rupture as the final stage of a seismic cycle.…”

Research on the transverse collaborative working performance of hollow slab bridges enhanced by channel steel and prestressed CFRP tendons
Published 2025-07-01“…The hinge joint is critical for the transverse connection of hollow slab bridges and is highly susceptible to damage due to increasing traffic volumes and vehicle loads. To enhance the transverse collaborative working performance (TCWP) of hollow slab bridges, a hinge joint reinforcement technique by installing transverse channels at the bottom of the hollow slab and vertical prestressed CFRP tendons in the hinge joints is proposed in this study. …”

Experimental Study of Irinotecan Induced Side Effects on Digestive and Immune System of Mice
Published 2018-04-01“…The mice in the model group were given CPT-11 by intraperitoneal injection, the control group were given same volumes PBS by intraperitoneal injection. Body weight, diarrhea index, spleen index, thymus index, complete blood count and pathological changes of the jejunum, ileum and colon were measured on the second day and the fourth day after CPT-11 intervention. Results:Compared with the control group, mice body weight was decreased significantly on the second day and the fourth day upon CPT-11 intervention while diarrhea index was increased (P<0.05); CPT-11 intervention also decreased spleen index, thymus index (P<0.05), white blood cell count and neutrophil count profoundly along with significant jejunum, ileum and colon injury of the mice.Conclusion:CPT-11 can induce side effects about the digestive and immune system, which consistents with the clinical side effects of CPT-11, and this will be helpful for the further development of novel supplementary therapies for CPT-11 induced toxicity.…”
