Effect of fractal fins on the heat storage performance of three-casing phase change accumulator by Guangtong TANG, Xin LI, Jingzhi JIANG, Lujiang LI, Guowei SHAO, Hongtao LI, Siyuan CHENG

    Published 2024-12-01
“…In order to solve the problems of low heat storage efficiency and uneven melting in the phase change material area of the traditional heat accumulator, the influence of the length and branch angle of the Y-shaped fin on the heat storage performance of the three-tube phase change accumulator was simulated and studied by using FLUENT software to simulate the effects of the length and branch angle of the three-tube phase change accumulator with eightlongitudinal fins as the basic structure, ensuring that the volume of the fins in the accumulator remains unchanged, and the longitudinal fins are fractal with the "Y" shape. …”

Research on the basic theory and application of enhanced recovery in tight sandstone gas reservoirs by Gao Shusheng, Ye Liyou, Liu Huaxun, Zhang Jianzhong, Zhu Wenqing, An Weiguo

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Our findings reveal: (1) Detailed characterization of the microscopic pore characteristics in tight sandstone reservoirs helps disclose the status and mechanisms of gas-water occurrence and the principal mechanisms of water production under gas-water co-sealing conditions, such as gas expansion, energy of water-sealed gas, movable water volume, and displacement pressure gradient; (2) Testing single-phase and gas-water two-phase seepage characteristics under bound water saturation identifies permeability and water saturation as critical parameters influencing gas seepage characteristics; (3) Inter-layer gas-water interaction flow experiments demonstrate the interference in multi-layer commingled production and introduce the concept of an interference index, a predictive model for well productivity and dynamic performance in the Sulige tight sandstone gas reservoir; (4) A model correlating reservoir recovery rates with drive indices has been developed, highlighting that increasing production pressure differential and reducing seepage resistance are the primary strategies for enhancing recovery rates in tight sandstone gas reservoirs, supplemented by six technological countermeasures including water-blocking, water control, and densifying well networks. …”

Study protocol for an international registry observational study evaluating clinical outcomes of transcatheter versus standard surgical mitral valve operation for secondary mitral... by Antonio Salsano, Francesco Nappi, Sanjeet Singh Avtaar Singh, Cristiano Spadaccio, Yasushige Shingu, Satoru Wakasa, Antonio Fiore

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The main clinical outcome will be the degree of LV remodelling as assessed by the Left Ventricular End-Diastolic Volume Index at 10 years. The study will measure several secondary endpoints, including all-cause mortality as the primary endpoint, followed by functional status, hospitalisation, neurocognition, physiological measures (echocardiographic assessment), adverse events and reoperation.Ethics and dissemination Ethics approval was obtained in Montpellier University Hospital on 24 May 2022 (Institutional Review Board Approval Number: IRB-MTP_2022_05_202201143). …”

Frequency and perception of buffalo meat consumption by the population of Belem do Pará, Brazil by Pamella M. M. de Jesus, Mayrla F. Dantas, Luiz H. M. Martins, Antônio V. C. Barbosa, Natalia G. S. Barbosa

    Published 2023-11-01
“…It was observed that the consumers of Belem preferred beef (51%), followed by these meats: chicken (33%), fish (10%), buffalo (5%) and swine (1%). 64.2% of the frequency of consumption of beef and buffalo was between one and two kilograms per week, while for chicken, fish, and pork, this frequency was 72.4% for the same volume of meat. 70.2% of the respondents had the habit of consuming beef two to three times per week, while 62.7% consumed chicken, fish, and swine at least two to three times a week. …”
