Tensile Strength Prediction of Empty Palm Oil Bunch Fiber Composite with Artificial Neural Network by Hery Tri Waloyo, Agus Mujianto, Richie Feriyanto

    Published 2024-11-01
“…The method involves two types of ANN, namely Radial Basis Function (RBF) and Backpropagation, with testing using variations in immersion time, volume fraction, and length of EPOFB fibers. The research results show that both ANN models can predict tensile strength with a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) below 10%. …”

Enhancing Software Requirements Classification with Semisupervised GAN-BERT Technique by Gregorius Airlangga

    Published 2024-01-01
“…However, our analysis has identified substantial gaps in these studies, including (a) a limited dataset volume, (b) the absence of an evaluation study for cross-domain test sets, (c) the problem of real-time prediction scenarios where a vast amount of unlabeled data floods the system each second, and (d) a dearth of comparative studies scrutinizing diverse software requirements datasets and multiple machine learning models, with particular emphasis on in-domain and cross-domain testing. …”

Assessing the Shrinkage Cracking Potential of Concrete Using Ring Specimens with Different Boundary Conditions by Bruce Menu, Marc Jolin, Benoit Bissonnette

    Published 2020-01-01
“…Results show that the rate of strain development and the age-at-cracking vary with specimen drying direction and the exchange surface-to-volume ratio. The results further revealed that early-age shrinkage cracking depends more on the shrinkage rate than the magnitude of the shrinkage itself. …”

Research on Freeze-thaw Resistance of High-strength Porous Concrete by NIE Qingnian, YANG Yongmin, LIU Xiaofei, LI Haibo, LYU Kai

    Published 2021-01-01
“…Because porous concrete is feature with a large pore structure and porosity, the freezing of water enriched in the pores in winter will have a greater impact on the performance of porous concrete. This paper puts forward the test method and evaluation index of the freeze-thaw resistance of porous concrete with reference to those of ordinary concrete, and systematically studies the effect of fly ash, slag, silica fume, fine sand and crack-resistant fiber on the freeze-thaw resistance of porous concrete. The results show that:The compressive strength of the prepared porous concrete is about 30.2~35.6 MPa for 28 days. The addition of fly ash, fine sand and fiber alone has no effect on the freeze-thaw resistance of porous concrete.Silica fume is beneficial to improve the freeze-thaw resistance. After adding 10% silica fume, when the number of cycles reaches 60,the dynamic elastic modulus can reach 66.8%,the mass loss rate is only 0.35%,and the freeze-thaw resistance index is 12.58.The porous concrete contains more connected pores, but it may still be damaged by volume expansion after water freezes. However, after adding silica fume, the freeze-thaw resistance of slurry is improved by increasing the amount of C-S-H gel, enhancing the adhesion between the interface and strengthening the interface.…”
