Structure constraints in Polish and English adjectival synthetic compounds by Sebastian Wasak

    Published 2020-12-01
“…It is shown that adjectival synthetic compounds in Polish and English behave in a way typical of underived adjectives, being unrestricted in the predicative position and allowing degree modification with very; as such they are not deverbal in the morphosyntactic sense with their syntactic representation lacking the functional heads vP and VoiceP found in deverbal structures. The limited productivity of adjectival synthetic compounds further contributes to their non-eventive status. …”

Speech Technology Application of “FEDE” Platform for Flood Control by QIU Wenjian, TIAN Maochun, YANG Yue, FAN Guangwei, HUANG Lu

    Published 2024-01-01
“…There are currently cumbersome and inefficient interaction methods in the “FEDE” system for flood control in water conservancy projects, heavy reliance on the experience of actual operators, and insufficient intelligent application. To this end, this paper carries out research on the application of voice technology to the “FEDE” platform for flood control.Firstly, an open service system that integrates intelligent speech recognition allows for real-time interaction of audio data and recognition results by standardized service interfaces. Then, this paper sorts out the business processes in the “FEDE” for flood prevention in water conservancy projects, and summarizes and refines three types of practical application scenarios. Finally, relevant water conservancy vocabulary and sentence structures are organized and compiled, and a speech data corpus and scenario skill library are built to serve practical application scenarios. The applications of the “FEDE” platform for flood control in Datengxia indicate that this paper offers a more comprehensive channel for information acquisition, and improves the intelligent interaction of the system and work efficiency of users, providing technical service support for water conservancy engineering management.…”

Research of service-differentiated admission control based on Markov decision processes in heterogeneous wireless networks by DENG Qiang1, CHEN Shan-zhi2, HU Bo1, SHI Yan1

    Published 2010-01-01
“…Service-differentiated admission control was studied in heterogeneous wireless networks.Capacity regions of voice and data services in CDMA cellular network and WLAN were derived.A theoretical model of admission control with differentiated services was proposed on basis of Markov decision processes theory,in which the admission actions were specified for each traffic service and system state transition probabilities were formulated.Furthermore,a fuzzy logic admission utility evaluation mechanism was presented based on the analysis of relationship of QoS requirements and network state, then the optimal admission control policy that maximizes overall utility with new and handoff call blocking probability constraints was formulated. The simulation results reveal that network dynamics can be captured by the proposed utility evaluation mechanism. And the average utility earned in the optimal admission control policy was significantly larger than two other schemes in which service differentiation and mobility are not considered,in addition, the new and handoff call blocking probability can be strictly constrained.…”

RESEARCH ON DEEP NEURAL NETWORK LEARNING BASED ON IMPROVED BP ALGORITHM by HUANG Pei

    Published 2018-01-01
“…Deep learning can make the computing model that contains a number of processing layers to learn the data that contains many levels of abstract representation. This kind of learning way in the most advanced speech recognition, visual object recognition, object detection and many other areas, such as biology, genetics and medicine brought significant improvement.Deep learning can find the complex structure of large data, and the convolution neural network as one of the important models of the depth study in the processing of voice, image, video and text, and other aspects of a new breakthrough. It is the use of BP algorithm to guide the machine how to get the error before the layer to adjust the parameters of this layer,so that these parameters are more conducive to the calculation of the model. In view of the shortcomings of traditional BP algorithm,a fast BP algorithm is proposed, which has the disadvantages of slow convergence speed and often falls into local minimum points. The improved convolutional neural network is used to validate the data set MNIST,English character recognition and medical image. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.…”
