Research on batch anonymous authentication scheme for VANET based on bilinear pairing
Published 2017-06-01“…To solve the problem of efficiency of anonymous authentication in vehicular ad hoc network,a batch anonymous authentication scheme was proposed by using bilinear pairing on elliptic curves .The signature was generated by the roadside unit node (RSU) and the vehicle together. Thus, the burden of VANET certification center was reduced and the authentication efficiency was proved.Meanwhile, the difficulty of the attacker to extract the key was increased.Furthermore, security proofs were given to the scheme in the random oracle model.Analysis shows that the proposed scheme can meet the needs of many kinds of security requirements, the computational overhead is significantly reduced, and the authentication efficiency is improved effectively too. Therefore, the scheme has important theoretical significance and application value under computational capability constrained Internet of things (IoT) environment.…”

Reliability routing protocol based on vehicle density in VANET
Published 2016-09-01“…A reliability routing protocol based on vehicle density in vehicular Ad Hoc network was proposed to reduce the complexity of finding an optimal or sub-optimal node of the forwarding node in forwarding range, reducing the average number of hops and enhancing the reliability of the link.Firstly, the size of the unite block was set by the forwarding node according to the vehicle density in the road. And the forwarding range was cut into several equal blocks. Then the farthest block away from the forwarding node was selected. In the selected block, the neighbor node which had the longest link time was chosen as a relay node to forward according to the principle of reliability finally.Compared with EG-RAODV,the simulated results of the proposed routing protocol show that the average number of hops is less and the average distance of one-hop progress is lager, which means the proposed routing protocol can transmit the data packet to destination node more quickly.…”

Interference-aware node access scheme in UAV-aided VANET
Published 2019-06-01“…In vehicular Ad Hoc network (VANET),frequent link handovers and channel interference can lead to increased transmission delay and decreased network throughput. To address the issues, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) were introduced to cooperate with vehicles and construct UAV-assisted air-ground integrated VANET.An interference-aware node access scheme was proposed. The node access problem was formulated as a multi-objective optimization problem considering link transmission rate, link handovers and transmit power. Then the optimization problem was decomposed into two convex optimization sub-problems by dual decomposition method, the sub-problem jointly optimizes handovers and link transmission rate while the sub-problem optimizes the transmit power based on link reliability. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed mechanism can effectively improve data delivery ratio, average end-to-end delay and network throughput.…”

Social-aware caching and forwarding for video streaming in information-centric 5G VANET
Published 2019-12-01“…The arrival of 5G-enabled communication technology has laid the foundation for providing high-quality video stream services in vehicular Ad Hoc network (VANET).However, current VANET still distribute video content over IP networks which design for host communication instead of content distribution. The mismatch between network function and design goals brings huge challenges for providing high quality video service.Based on the above questions,a social-aware caching and forwarding was proposed to support efficient video streaming services and the time complexity of the algorithm was O(m2).Firstly,a virtual community was constructed by analyzing the user's behaviors. Then,a fast forwarding scheme was introduced to ensure that users could discover the requested videos nearby. Finally,a community-based caching policy was proposed to optimize the in-community caching distributions.Simulation results show how the proposed strategy achieves better performance than other state-of-art solutions in terms of caching hit ratio, searching delay and control overhead.…”

Intra-group mutual authentication key agreement protocol based on Chinese remainder theorem in VANET system
Published 2022-01-01“…Aiming at the problem that vehicles in the vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) system were vulnerable to malicious attacks when communicating with each other on the public network, a mutual authentication key agreement protocol in the VANET was proposed.A dynamic vehicle group was established by the Chinese remainder theorem to adapt to the rapid changes in the VANET topology.Signature information was used by both parties in communication to quickly authenticate the identity of the message sender, and key agreement was conduct through the semigroup of Chebyshev chaotic mapping. The pseudonym update and private key update mechanism were adopted to protect the privacy and security of the vehicle’s identity. The identities of malicious vehicles were tracked accurately by using signature information, and were revoked quickly by modifying the public key information. In addition, the semantic security of the protocol was proved by the BAN logic model. The simulation results show that the proposed protocol can effectively reduce the communication consumption and significantly reduce the computational consumption compared with the existing similar literature.…”
