In vitro clonal micropropagation of selected Malus niedzwetzkyana Dieck forms demonstrating high resilience when introduced into urban environments
Published 2024-10-01“…It was shown for M. niedzwetzkyana that the most favorable time for taking its plant material for introduction into in vitro culture is the beginning of the active growth of vegetative shoots after flowering. The most optimal sterilization technique for such plant material was a stepwise regime using alcohol, sodium hypochlorite, and silver nitrate: it provided from 50 to 70% of sterile explants and the maximum percentage of meristem proliferation. …”

Assessing recovery time of ecosystems in China: insights into flash drought impacts on gross primary productivity
Published 2025-02-01“…Temperature exhibits a non-monotonic relationship with recovery time, where both excessively cold and hot conditions lead to longer recovery periods. Herbaceous vegetation recovers more rapidly than woody forests, with deciduous broadleaf forests demonstrating the shortest recovery time. …”

Spatial Downscaling of GPM Annual and Monthly Precipitation Using Regression-Based Algorithms in a Mountainous Area
Published 2018-01-01“…The results showed that (1) GWR performed much better than MLR to regress precipitation on Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Digital Elevation Model (DEM); (2) coefficients of GWR models showed strong spatial nonstationarity, but the spatial mean standardized coefficients were very similar to standardized coefficients of MLR in terms of intra-annual patterns: generally NDVI was positively related to precipitation when monthly precipitation was under 166 mm; DEM was negatively related to precipitation, especially in wet months like July and August; contribution of DEM to precipitation was greater than that of NDVI; (3) residuals’ correction was indispensable for the MLR-based algorithm but should be removed from the GWR-based algorithm; (4) the GWR-based algorithm rather than the MLR-based algorithm produced more accurate precipitation than original GPM precipitation. …”

Non-stationarity analysis of flood extremes under climate change and human activities in the Yuan River Basin, China
Published 2025-02-01“…New hydrological insights for the region: (1) The intervals between Pushi and Taoyuan stations for both PF and PWL series have significantly shortened over the past 40 years, while the Taoyuan station showed no significant upward trend over the past 70 years. (2) Covariates associated with precipitation, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Reservoir Index, and Impervious Area (IA) showed a significantly increased trend within the basin, particularly the annual maximum daily precipitation (P1) at the Pushi station. (3) The non-stationary models performed best when incorporating either the 7-day or 15-day accumulated antecedent precipitation before the flood occurrence date for the flood extremes series, while the inclusion of the IA and mean NDVI three months before the flood occurrence month provided superior fitting for the occurrence dates series. (4) The variability of P1, 3-day accumulated precipitation and their overlap with 7-day and 15-day accumulated precipitation were most likely key factors in triggering typical flood extremes.…”
