Simulation and Analysis of Multi-sluice Dam Channel Flow Evolution Based on MIKE11 by ZHANG Shixin, ZHANG Jing

    Published 2022-01-01
“…Due to the influence of sluices, the flow propagation law of multi-sluice dam is complicated, which brings great difficulties to the forecast of river flow and water dispatching. In this paper, the river channel of Qipanshan Reservoir and Tuanjie Sluice of Puhe River is taken as the research object, and the river is divided into seven sections. On the basis of the MIKE11HD construction, the influence of multi-sluice dams on river flow evolution is analyzed, and the change of peak discharge travel time and flow attenuation in different sections is studied by the model. The results show that there is a significant power function relationship between the flood peak discharge and the travel time.As the flood peak discharge is larger, the travel time will be shorter. The attenuation rate per kilometer is related to the characteristics of the channel and the vegetation on both sides of the channel.Under the influence of artificial channelization, the discharge attenuation rate per kilometer is minimum in the sluice 7-sluice 6 section, and maximum in the section of the rubber dam on the sluice to Laoshiniu rubber dam. This study can provide a basis for the joint operation of multi-sluice dam in the ecological corridor of Puhe River, and also provide a reference for the flow simulation and flood forecast of other multi- sluice dam channels.…”

Ecological Sensitivity Analysis of Beihai City Based on GIS and RS by LI Xiaorong, XIE Yuting, LIU Ping

    Published 2023-01-01
“…In this paper, five factors influencing ecological sensitivity were selected by using GIS and RS technologies, including land use/cover change (LUCC),normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI),elevation, aspect, and water buffer in land area of Beihai City, and the ecological sensitivity evaluation of single factor in the study area was carried out by using the ecological factor scoring method. The weighted superposition method was used to comprehensively evaluate the ecological sensitivity, and the study area was divided into the non-sensitive area, slightly sensitive area, moderately sensitive area, and highly sensitive area. The results show that the ecological sensitivity of the study area decreases from east to west and from north to south. The sum of the non-sensitive area and the slightly sensitive area is 64.30%,and the two areas are mainly distributed in the southwest, with an elevation below 30 m and relatively underdeveloped river networks. The moderately sensitive area accounts for 29.88% and is mainly distributed in Hepu County;the highly sensitive area accounts for 5.82% and is mainly distributed in the northeast mountainous area. The research results can provide a theoretical basis for ecological environment protection, green development, and rational land use planning in Beihai City.…”

Green topologies and landscapes beyond the land. A 30-years research on green hybridization by Manuel Gausa

    Published 2022-06-01
“…New eco-systemic ‘city-architecture-infrastructure-landscape’ strategies are required, but also new types of spatial repertoires with more complex geometries (more flexible, elastic and organic) linked to the dynamics of a changing environment and its multi-scalar manifestations: new topographies, topologies and topomorphies (but also para-topologies) that are more hybrid because, paradoxically, they are more sensitive to nature; approaches favoured by the current eco-technological capacity to work with new responsive materials in which vegetation and all bio-active organisms would combine into new multi-scalar spatial devices, ‘networked environments’, highlighting the shift from a defensive ecology to a proactive ecology and even an increasingly techno-performative ecology. …”
