The Age–Velocity Dispersion Relations of the Galactic Disk as Revealed by the LAMOST-Gaia Red Clump Stars
Published 2025-01-01“…These results indicate that the thin disk stars are likely heated by long-term heating from giant molecular clouds and spiral arms, while thick disk stars are likely heated by some violent heating process from merger and accretion, and/or formed by the inside-out and upside-down star formation scenarios, and/or born in the chaotic mergers of gas-rich systems and/or turbulent interstellar medium. Our results also suggest that the disk perturbation by a recent minor merger from Sagittarius may have occurred within 3.0 Gyr.…”

Patterns and Drivers of Surface Energy Flux in the Alpine Meadow Ecosystem in the Qilian Mountains, Northwest China
Published 2025-01-01“…Results show that Rn is the main driver of both H and LE, highlighting its crucial role in turbulent flux variations. Additionally, a negative correlation was found between air temperature and H, suggesting that high temperatures may suppress H. …”

A comparative filling materials study on microstructure and mechanical properties of welded joints of dissimilar Al–Mg–Si alloys using CMT-laser beam oscillation hybrid welding
Published 2025-01-01“…Microstructural analysis revealed a distinct layered structure on the 6061 side, contributing to a hard-soft microstructural configuration that enhances ductility, with fracture strains of 3.4% for ER4047 and 4.8% for ER5183. In this study, turbulent flow dominates over previously proposed laminar flow, but a prolonged duration for complete solute mixing is still required, leading to the persistent presence of unmixed and partially mixed zones in the liquid weld pool before solidification. …”

Dataset of microscale atmospheric flow and pollutant concentration large-eddy simulations for varying mesoscale meteorological forcing in an idealized urban environmentZenodo
Published 2025-02-01“…Given these issues, the construction of CFD datasets that account for uncertainty would be an interesting avenue of research for microscale atmospheric science. In this context, we present the PPMLES (Perturbed-Parameter ensemble of MUST Large-Eddy Simulations) dataset, which consists of 200 large-eddy simulations (LES) characterizing the complex interactions between the turbulent airflow, the tracer dispersion, and an idealized urban environment. …”

Impact of Key DMD Parameters on Modal Analysis of High-Reynolds-Number Flow Around an Idealized Ground Vehicle
Published 2025-01-01“…This study highlights the significance of accounting for intermittency and non-stationary behavior in turbulent flows for DMD convergence. A minimum of 3000 snapshots is necessary for the convergence of DMD eigenvalues, and sampling frequency ratios between 5 and 10 are needed to achieve a reconstruction error of less than 1%. …”
