Reliability Analysis of Water Intake Based on MIKE Model
Published 2021-01-01“…The reliability of water intake is one of the main factors affecting the operation of the project, and is a prerequisite for the project to be put into use.Taking the 10 million-ton-level metallurgical new material industrial base in Wuzhou as the research object, based on the MIKE21 module in the MIKE software, this paper establishes a hydrodynamic model for verifying the reliability of the existing water intake scheme,as well as puts forward the corresponding countermeasures for the scheme with water intake risk. The results show that:①During the dry season, the water level of the Changzhou Water Control Project is relatively high, and the reservoir storage can meet the design water intake quantity of the project;②During the normal water period, the gates of Changzhou Water Control Project need to be opened to ensure the safety of flood control. If the inflow of the Shangxiaohe tributary of Xunjiang River is abundant, the project is guaranteed with water intake. If the inflow of the Shangxiaohe tributary is small, the project will have water intake risk;③Countermeasures such as dredging the river channel and lowering the water intake can effectively increase the water intake of the project, thereby avoiding the water intake risk of the project during the normal water period. The research results are of guiding significance for the construction of the 10 million-ton-level metallurgical new material industrial base in Wuzhou, and of theoretical significance for water intake reliability analysis through MIKE21.…”

Study of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Inflow Fluxes into Qingliangshan Reservoir Base on SWAT Model
Published 2022-01-01“…Taking the Qingliangshan Reservoir Watershed as the research object, this study builds a soil and water assessment tool (SWAT) model to calculate reservoir inflow and nitrogen and phosphorus fluxes by simulation and thereby explore the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics and potential spatial sources of nitrogen and phosphorus. The following observations can be made from the results. The multi-year average inflow into the Qingliangshan Reservoir is 2.77 m3/s, and the total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP) inflow fluxes into the reservoir are 33 030.3 kg/a and 2 282.0 kg/a, respectively. The TN and TP inflow fluxes of the Xintian tributary (TN:19 882.7 kg/a;TP:1 275.4 kg/a) into the reservoir are higher than those of the Xitian tributary (TN:12 977.5 kg/a,TP:956.9 kg/a).The nitrogen and phosphorus inflow fluxes in the flood season are also higher than those in the non-flood season, with peak concentrations of TN and TP in the water both observed before the flood season.Large TN and TP loads are mainly distributed in the central area of the watershed. …”

Runoff Prediction Based on VMD-LSTM-ARMA Model
Published 2023-01-01“…To increase the accuracy of runoff prediction,a combined prediction model is proposed to solve the problems of runoff prediction. This model consists of the variational mode decomposition (VMD),long and short-term memory (LSTM) network, and autoregressive moving average (ARMA).To reduce the complexity of the incoming traffic, the runoff data is decomposed into three modal components with different frequencies by VMD.The low-frequency modal component inherits the temporal properties of the data and can be processed by constructing the LSTM prediction model, while the two high-frequency sequences are stationary time series and can be processed by constructing the ARMA prediction model. The prediction results of the three subsequences are superimposed to predict the runoff. Finally, the hourly flow data of Dongjiang Hydrometric Station of Xiangjiang river tributary in 2020 are used to forecast the inflow flow, and the results of comparative experiments with other algorithms show that the constructed model can effectively improve the accuracy of the hydrological forecast.…”

Investigation and Assessment of the Influence of Cascaded Hydropower Plants on Fish Resources in the Qiuxiangjiang River
Published 2020-01-01“…The development of cascaded hydropower plants in middle and small rivers has a significant impact on fish resources, mainly includes the destruction of fish habitat. The Qiuxiangjiang River belongs to the first-class tributary of the Dongjiang River in Guangdong Province. This paper evaluates the present situation of fish resources in the Qiuxiangjiang River by aquatic ecosystem investigation and sampling analysis, and compares it with historical data. The results show that due to cascade hydropower development and other human activities in the Qiuxiangjiang River Basin, the suitable habitat for fish decreases. The species and numbers of fish decrease sharply compared with historical records. The fish population structure is relatively unstable, and the fish diversity also gradually reduces. Therefore, for the cascade hydropower development in middle and small rivers, attention should be paid to overall planning the entire river basin, protecting the integrity of the river's aquatic ecosystem, and strictly requiring hydropower plants to build discharge facilities and strengthen supervision of their operation.…”
