Unloading Groove Optimization and the Inner Flow-field Simulation Analysis of the Variable Displacement External Gear Pump by Gao Jiahe, Wang Yansong, Zhao Lihui, Guo Hui, Li Jinguo

    Published 2015-01-01
“…A CFD model of a variable displacement external gear pump is established. The quantitative analysis method is applied to analyze characteristics of the pump inner flow field. The accuracy of the established model is verified by comparing the flux simulated and corresponding tested data. The tooth width formula of gear meshing is obtained.Through oil pressure analysis in the trapped oil area,an optimization scheme with a wedge-shape unloading groove added at the upper piston of the driven gear is proposed, which effectively reduces the pressure fluctuation of trapped oil area. The study results show that, under the condition of the same pump flux, the optimized unloading groove can reduce the pressure fluctuations in the suction and discharge chambers by 12.3% and 8%,respectively.The work is helpful for design and development of the variable displacement external gear pump.…”

Simulation Analysis of the GearModification of Wind Power Gearbox based on Romax by Li Ruiliang, Mu Song, Wang Chunxiu, Su Youliang

    Published 2015-01-01
“…At present, the gearboxes are faced with the problems of high failure rate, large vibration and noise, short service life, etc, and the gear modification is an effective means to reduce vibration and noise, extend life, which is proved by practical experience at home and abroad for many years. With the introduction of some professional gear software or wind turbine analysis software from abroad, the work efficiency is greatly improved, and the extra cost due to experimental verification is also reduced. With the using of RomaxWIND excellent load distribution analysis function and on the basis of the theory of gear modification, the statics simulation analysis of the gearbox is carried out through the RomaxWIND software under the equivalent loads.According to the load distribution on the tooth surface of gear, transmission errors and other parameters, the length, amount and curve of modification of the high-speed gear is determined in the end.The conclusions can provide reference for gear modification.…”
