Changes of Narrative: Osvald Sirén’s Photographic Modeling of Modern Research on Chinese Garden
Published 2025-01-01“…He applied a concept very similar to the area exposure method, generating images with personal characteristics. At the same time, these images of gardens with great detail content have formed a strong set of garden narratives, which in turn influence the perspective of garden research — a spatially compressed perspective with multiple details superimposed on each other, and a perspective that transforms spatial protagonists and garden narratives, which has begun to subconsciously influence the direction of garden research. …”

Pathogenic potential of ornithogenic Escherichia coli strains detected in the Earth's polar regions
Published 2024-12-01“…Migratory bird colonies and high latitude avian colonies may be points of active intraspecies and interspecies contact between different animal species, accompanied by the spread of pathogens. At the same time, the phylogeography of E. coli in relation to the presence of natural foci of colibacillosis in polar regions remains virtually unstudied. …”

A single residue switch mediates the broad neutralization of Rotaviruses
Published 2025-01-01“…Here, focusing on the pivotal viral protein VP4 of rotavirus (RV), we identify a potent bNAb, 7H13, exhibiting broad-spectrum neutralization across diverse RV genotypes and demonstrating strong prevention of virus infection in female mice. A combination of time-resolved cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and in situ cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) analysis reveals a counterintuitive dynamic process of virus inactivation, in which 7H13 asymmetrically binds to a conserved epitope in the capsid-proximal aspect of VP4, triggers a conformational switch in a critical residue—F418—thereby disrupts the meta-stable conformation of VP4 essential for normal viral infection. …”

The microenvironment cell index is a novel indicator for the prognosis and therapeutic regimen selection of cancers
Published 2025-01-01“…More importantly, inhibition of the insulin signaling pathway activated in the cancer cells of the MCIhigh the TNBC patients significantly prolonged the survival time of tumor-bearing mice. Conclusions Overall, our results demonstrate that MCs infiltration can be exploited as a novel indicator for the prognosis and therapeutic regimen selection of the TNBC patients.…”
