SVEIRS: A New Epidemic Disease Model with Time Delays and Impulsive Effects
Published 2014-01-01“…We first propose a new epidemic disease model governed by system of impulsive delay differential equations. Then, based on theories for impulsive delay differential equations, we skillfully solve the difficulty in analyzing the global dynamical behavior of the model with pulse vaccination and impulsive population input effects at two different periodic moments. …”

Les paramètres évidentiels, inférentiels et modaux appliqués à l’étude de must épistémique
Published 2015-07-01“…The major difficulty is that evidentiality is not clearly grammaticalized neither in English nor French, unlike Amerindian languages such as Tuyuca or Bosavi. However new theories have emerged showing that not only modal but also evidential values can be conveyed by modal auxiliaries, especially those expressing an epistemic meaning. …”

The contributions of foreign aid and natural resource wealth to democratic institutions: Evidence from over 40 years of sub-Sahara Africa's history
Published 2024-01-01“…Using five different democracy indices, six different foreign aid variables and six different natural resource rent variables, our endogeneity-corrected results establish the following conclusions: (i) all the democracy indices respond positively and significantly to multilateral foreign aid, total development assistance committee (DAC) aid and bilateral aid from Australia, the USA, the United Nations, and the European Union (ii) the political resource curse, rentier and repression theories are valid for rent from mineral, gas and oil resources (iii) the democracy indices respond positively and significantly to rent from coal and forest resources (iv) the effect of foreign aid on the democracy indices is contingent on natural resource wealth (v) these findings are robust to an alternative econometric estimation technique and specifications. …”

Research on Underwater Sound Source Localization Based on NLM-EEMD and FCM-Generalized Quadratic Correlation
Published 2022-01-01“…In order to meet the needs of high-precision underwater positioning, this article studies a time delay estimation method based on nonlocal mean-enforced mean empirical mode decomposition (NLM-EEMD) autocorrelation denoising preprocessing and fuzzy C-means clustering (FCM)-generalized quadratic for underwater sound source localization technology. The theories such as NLM, EEMD, FCM, and generalized quadratic correlation delay estimation are studied in detail, and the speech signal of the test library in the TIMIT standard library is selected for simulation analysis, which verifies the correctness of the delay estimation method. …”
