Upper bound of degrees of freedom in cognitive MIMO interference network with user cooperation by Shi-lei ZHU, Na-e ZHENG, Sheng WANG, Han-ying HU

    Published 2015-08-01
“…In(K+1)-user cognitive MIMO interference network, conventional algorithms distinguish the interference of primary users and secondary users by aligning them to the different interference space, separately. Therefore,it leads to the loss of spatial degrees of freedom(DoF).From the perspective of multiplexing the interference space,a new upper bound of DoF and its necessary condition was deduced.Furthermore,to verify the rationality and validity of the new upper bound,a cooperative joint interference alignment algorithm,in which a joint interference alignment indicator was designed and proposed based on norm theory and Rayleigh-Ritz theorem. The effectiveness of the algorithm was analyzed.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the new upper bound of DoF breaks upper bound given in the existing papers, and it can be achieved by the proposed algorithm.…”

Opportunistic network coding based on prediction by Wai-xi LIU, Shun-zheng YU, Ying GAO, Xiao HU

    Published 2013-04-01
“…Since pure theory network coding had some drawbacks in practical network, however current opportunistic network coding fully depends on overheard information. Thus,in a radically different way from network coding optimization,a novel opportunistic network coding scheme was proposed which was based on prediction (ONCP).The main idea of ONCP was firstly, arrival time of next packet in a node was predicted for the self-similarity of network traffic;:secondly, encoding time, waiting time for coding, transmission time and other factors were taken into account together to determine whether this packet was coded in this node.A theorem—maximum waiting time for was proved network coding in order to obtain throughput gain.Simulation results show that ONCP improves throughput by 15% compared to pure theory network coding and by 21% compared to traditional store-forward.ONCP can also effectively reduce energy consumption while improving throughput.…”

Low complexity hybrid precoding algorithm for massive MIMO based on modified Newton method by Bo HU, Anding WANG, Guiyi WEI

    Published 2023-11-01
“…A phase tracking algorithm was proposed for massivemultiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) systems based on the modified Newton (MN) method, which effectively reduced the high computational complexity in traditional high-performance hybrid precoding schemes. The algorithm optimized the analog precoding matrix from the perspective ofsub-dimensional vector recovery. In each sub-dimension optimization, the phase tracking method was used to transform the recovery of the analog precoding vectors into an unconstrained nonlinear optimization problem, which was then solved using the MN method.Concurrently, this strategy led to a marked reduction in the computational intricacy pertaining to both the computation of correction factors and the inversion of the Hessian matrix within the framework of the MN method. This was achieved through the insightful incorporation of Gerschgorin’s Disk theorem and the Hermitian matrix block-inverse lemma.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has higher spectral efficiency and lower computational complexity than several conventional high-performance hybrid precoding schemes.…”
