MP-Start:bandwidth measurement based and phase-divided TCP slow start mechanism
Published 2007-01-01“…To set appropriate threshold value(ssthresh) of slow start and eliminate network oscillation caused by bursty traffic,a new measurement-based and phase-divided slow start mechanism was proposed,which was called MP-Start.MP-Start employs effective online bandwidth measurement technology to update the ssthresh with appropriate value dy-namically,and adjusts the increment of congestion window(cwnd) in different phase of the startup.MP-Start increases cwnd with half of the difference between ssthesh and cwnd,iterates and gradually closes up ssthresh,of which the incre-ment is small at start phase and end phase and comparatively large at the middle phase of the startup of a connection,the largest increment is no more than one quarter of ssthresh.In order to improve the performance of this algorithm,a flexi-ble parameterized model and an adaptive parameter setting solution are designed.And series simulation experiments in-dicate that MP-Start significantly decreases dropped packets,data transforming time,packet queue length of shared link,and also improves network performance and smoothness of connections.…”

Extensible hierarchical codec semantic communication system

Spectrum prediction algorithm in ISM band based on two-dimensional LMBP neural network
Published 2016-03-01“…With the rapid development and application of short-range wireless communications technology,the electromagnetic interference of ISM(2.4 GHz)band has become more apparent.Using the spectral prediction algorithm to predict the information of spectrum occupancy has become an effective way to solve the problem of compatible coexistence between devices.On the basis of verifying the time-domain and frequency-domain correlation of ISM band,an LMBP neural network of time and frequency domain was proposed and applied in the spectral prediction of ISM band.Through simulations and theoretical analysis,the best training combination of time-frequency point (△t=5,△f=2)was obtained.This point improves 95% of the spectrum prediction accuracy under the conditions of the input vector N=9 of the neural network.It increased 9% and 4% prediction accuracy compared with Markov algorithm and time-domain LMBP neural network and it had a better convergence time of training.…”
