Thoughts on the standardization evolution of 5G NTN network architecture
Published 2023-08-01“…In recent years, 5G has been commercialized around the world in a large scale.However, considering the cost and geographical restrictions, traditional 5G networks still have trouble in providing seamless global communication.To reach the global area coverage, satellite and 5G technology integration has become a new hot topic in the communication industry.In 3GPP, the first release of 5G NTN technical specifications based on transparent payload architecture has been completed.Firstly, the standardization status of 5G NTN network architecture was introduced.Secondly, the shortcomings or issues existing in the current network architecture of 5G NTN were analyzed.Finally, three 5G NTN network architecture enhancement and optimization schemes were proposed, which including IAB-based network architecture, NTN adaptive network architecture and NTN multi-connection network architecture for intersatellite link construction and data shunt.The proposed architectures aim to providing valuable suggestions and references for the subsequent research, standardization and network deployment of 5G NTN.…”

Trajectory planning of UUV-assisted UWOC systems based on DQN
Published 2023-05-01“…As a key submarine-based communication platform, unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) can facilitate underwater wireless optical communication (UWOC).However, fluctuating characteristics of water body, different water qualities, multi-user access present challenges to UUV-assisted UWOC systems, which could be alleviated by an appropriate path planning to maximize the system and each user performance.Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) technology was applied in the path planning of autonomous vehicles, a trajectory planning scheme for UUV-assisted UWOC systems was proposed.The UUV automatically decides the navigation direction through deep Q-network (DQN) method, thereby improving the communication capacity of the system and each user.The impact of distinct water qualities on the capacity enhancement was also investigated.Simulation results suggest that the outputted strategy of DQN can improve the link capacity of the system and each user.This capacity improvement in clear seawater is better than that in pure seawater but lower than that in coastal water.…”

Intelligent prediction method of network performance based on graph neural network
Published 2022-03-01“…There are some problems in the traditional network performance prediction technology, such as incomplete network state acquisition and poor accuracy of network performance evaluation.Combined with the characteristics of graph neural network learning and reasoning network relational data and the captured global information of the network, on the basis of the current network performance prediction methods, an intelligent prediction method of network performance based on graph neural network was proposed.Aiming at the complex network information, through the research of network system abstraction and network performance modeling, the network information can be transformed into the graph space convolution was used to process the message passing process of graph network nodes to realize the relationship reasoning between network information.The graph neural network model for network performance prediction was studied, and a graph neural network architecture which could deal with traffic matrix, network topology, routing strategy and node configuration was proposed.Finally, the experiments show that the model can better achieve accurate prediction of the network performance including delay, jitter and packet loss rate.…”

Published 2020-12-01“…The characteristics and shortcomings of the current multi-port direct current (DC) to DC (DC/DC) energy router were analyzed.A multi-port DC/DC energy router for the energy Internet was optimized and designed.Through the analysis of the operating voltage requirements under different working conditions,the full-bridge proportional design of the sub-module was proposed.On this basis,an alternating current (AC) to DC (AC/DC) decoupling control strategy to realize riding through the DC fault without de-blocking any devices was proposed.The multi-port DC/DC energy router was used to realize the interconnection of multiple DC power grids with different voltage levels.It not only retained the advantages of low cost and low loss of the traditional DC autotransformer,but also effectively improved the shortcomings that the DC autotransformer cannot ride through the DC fault.Finally,the simulation test was carried out in the MATLAB/Simulink environment to verify the stability of the technology in the normal operation,the feasibility of suppressing the DC fault and the effectiveness of the control strategy.…”

Published 2013-04-01“…With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,the demand for wireless resources increases quickly,and to improve the quality of service are required by users.Therefore,the intelligence is needed to carry out an effective compromise between user quality of service(QoS)requirements and wireless resource constraints in future communication systems.In order to enhance the spectral efficiency in cognitive radio network(CRN),multi-user subcarrier power joint allocation algorithm based on rate adaptive(RA)criterion in cognitive orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)system was proposed in the constraint conditions of available subcarrier,secondary user(SU)power budget and rate fairness,with the consideration of rate fairness between SUs.This algorithm was separated into two steps with subcarrier and power allocation respectively.The proposed scheme could maximize link capacity with the consideration of the fairness among all SUs.Simulation results show that the joint allocation algorithm can get effective tradeoff between system throughput and the rate fairness of SU.…”
