Electrical Characterization of Engineering Materials by Mohammad A. Alim

    Published 1996-01-01
“…The factors determining performance characteristics of the multi-phase/component heterogeneous polycrystalline hybrid (MPCHPH) systems are not identical to devices based on single-crystal/single-junction (SCSJ) technology. Performing SCSJ-like data-analysis on the MPCHPH systems can lead to confusion in delineating simultaneously operative phenomena when “physical geometrical factors”are used in normalizing the as-measured electrical parameters or electrical quantities. …”

Markov game modeling of mimic defense and defense strategy determination by Xingming ZHANG, Zeyu GU, Shuai WEI, Jianliang SHEN

    Published 2018-10-01
“…Network mimic defense technology enhances the robustness of active defense through the redundancy, dynamic and diversity as well as the decision feedback mechanism. However, little work has been done for its security assessment and existing classic game models are not suitable for its dynamic characteristics and lack of universality.A Markov game model was proposed to analyze the transfer relationship between offensive and defensive status and the measurement method of safety and reliability of mimic defense, and calculated the offensive and defensive game equilibrium through non-linear programming algorithm to determine the best defensive strategy considering performance.Experiments give a comparison with the multi-target hiding technique and shows that the mimic defense has a higher defensive effect.Combining with the specific network case, the specific attack and defense path for the exploit of the system vulnerability is given and the effectiveness of the defense strategy algorithm is verified.…”

Hierarchical task offloading in heterogeneous cellular network:modeling and optimization by Lindong ZHAO, Wenqin ZHUANG, Jianxin CHEN, Liang ZHOU

    Published 2020-04-01
“…To improve the efficiency of computation offloading,a hierarchical task offloading framework based on device-to-device (D2D) communication, mobile edge computing and cloud computing was proposed,in which cooperative D2D relay technology was introduced to assist users to access remote computing resources.Considering the negative effects of uplink channel congestion, limited edge computing capability,D2D reuse interference and backhaul delay of cloud computing in the multi-user scenario of the proposed framework,a game theory based offloading scheduling and load balancing scheme was developed by fully taking advantage of the computing and communication resources in the proposed framework. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can effectively reduce end-to-end delay and offloading energy consumption, and also has good stability even when the network resources are limited.…”

Research of the Geometric Characteristic of Undercutting and Limit Normal Point in Gear Geometry by Chen Ningxin

    Published 2015-01-01
“…The undercutting phenomena and the limit normal point are two important concepts in gearing theory, design and manufacturing.Based on the different opinions about them in the current research of limit normal point and the geometry and movement characteristics of undercutting neighborhood research is not sufficient, the study on undercutting and limit normal point of the following different gears is carried out by using TCA technology, they include spur and helical involute gears, straight bevel gear, cylindrical worm-gears including I type,K type and C type worm-gear,face-milled and face-hobbed spiral bevel and hypoid gear,as well as single-enveloping and double-enveloping globoidal worm-gear.The study results show that, the sliding velocity on the undercutting line of the generated surface is not equal to zero as the traditional result but moves along the tangent of the undercutting line for most gears except for spur involute and straight bevel gears, the limit normal point is the tangent point of the undercutting line and contact boundary line indeed.…”

The Evolution of Rehabilitation and Return to Sport Following Cartilage Surgery by Snehal Patel, William Marrone

    Published 2023-06-01
“…Recent literature has supported accelerated protocols in a variety of cartilage procedures ranging from osteochondral allograft (OCA) Osteochondral autograft surgery (OATS) to matrix-based scaffolding procedures such as Matrix Induced Chondrocyte Implantation (MACI) or Denovo procedures. Advances in technology such as blood flow restriction (BFR) and testing equipment with progressive rehabilitation from the acute phase through the return to sport continuum have made it possible to return to a higher level of activity and performance than first thought of for these procedures. …”
