Decentralized Cooperative Localization Approach for Autonomous Multirobot Systems by Thumeera R. Wanasinghe, George K. I. Mann, Raymond G. Gosine

    Published 2016-01-01
“…The computational and communicative complexities of the proposed algorithm increase linearly with the number of robots in the multirobot systems (MRS). The proposed method does not require fully connected synchronous communication channels between robots; in fact, it is applicable for MRS with asynchronous and partially connected communication networks. …”

R-Net grid monitoring and alarming system design by YAO Yuan-zhe1, DU Cui-lan2, LIU Xin-ran2, HE Miao3, WANG Zi-juan3, ZHANG Lu-wei1

    Published 2006-01-01
“…By introducing the concepts, requirements, related standards and work of grid monitoring, some actual monitoring systems were analyzed;expounded the monitoring requirements and their relations, found some problems and deficiencies in grid monitoring.Based on the R-Net grid computing test platform,RNMS(R-Net monitoring system) used some technology such as adaptive sensor control,on-demand measurement, distributed directory service, node group management, mixed data format, which improved the interoperability and scalability, reduced the intrusiveness.Based on the RNMS,an alarming system was designed without more modifying. It shows the RNMS has a good scalability.…”

Ustor: cloud storage system based on regenerating codes by Qing LIU, Dan FENG, Bai LI

    Published 2014-04-01
“…This method was successfully applied in a cloud storage system Ustor. Observations can be drawn from the experimental re-sults: first, erasure coding guarantees data reliability, increasing 5%~10% response time compared with non-coding; sec-ond, speed of FRC encode, decode and repair are a little slower than Reed-Solomon(RS) code, and the time gap of en-coding 256MB by two codes is less than 0.5 seconds; third, compared with traditional RS codes, FRC reduces more than 25% data amount needed to download during a repair in the experiment.…”

Low complexity algorithm for PAPR reduction in GFDM system by Jianhui CAI, Guangqiu LI, Jingjie SHEN

    Published 2021-04-01
“…In order to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) and the implementation complexity of generalized frequency division multiplexing (GFDM) system, the TSLM algorithm based on T-transform and selective mapping (SLM) was proposed. The design idea of the TSLM algorithm was to use the SLM algorithm to increase the number of GFDM time-domain alternative signals to reduce the PAPR, and to use the T-transform to realize the joint operation of the Walsh-Hadamard transform and the inverse discrete Fourier transform to reduce the complexity of the system. To further reduce the PAPR of the GFDM system, the TCSLM algorithm combining the TSLM algorithm and the conversion vector (CV) was proposed, and the CV vector was used to increase the number of GFDM time-domain alternative signals. The results show that when the number of subcarriers is 64, the number of sub symbols is 3 and the number of phase sequences is 2, compared with the SLM algorithm, the implementation complexity of the TSLM and TCSLM algorithm decreases by about 21.9% and 60.9%, respectively. When the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) is 10-3, the PAPR of the TSLM and TCSLM algorithm decreases by about 0.6 dB and 1 dB, respectively. The error performance of the TSLM and the TCSLM algorithm is improved by about 2 dB when the bit error rate is 10-3.…”
