Immune checkpoint inhibitor-induced severe epidermal necrolysis mediated by macrophage-derived CXCL10 and abated by TNF blockade
Published 2024-12-01“…Based on the trajectory analysis, ICI-activated T cells from whole blood are proposed to serve as the initial cells involved in inflammation, that lead to monocytes differentiating into macrophages and increasing their susceptibility to migrate to the lesion sites. Compared with systemic corticosteroids treatment, ICI-induced SJS/TEN patients treated with biologic TNF blockade showed a significantly rapid recovery and no recurrence of SCAR with continuous ICI therapy. …”

Staphylococcal skin infection isolates from dogs without recent antibiotic exposure are 100% susceptible to clindamycin
Published 2025-02-01“…These data strongly indicate that dogs without a history of recent antibiotic use, treatment failure, or recurrent infections that present with bacterial skin infections are at low risk of antibiotic resistance. If systemic antibiotics are indicated in these patients with this clinical history and presentation, clindamycin should be considered as first-line therapy, owing to its 100% susceptibility in this antibiogram and less selection pressure for antibiotic resistant bacteria, compared to alternatives such as cephalosporins.…”
