Optimized design of complex field network coding scheme in non-orthogonal multiple access relay system
Published 2012-11-01“…Wireless relay and network coding are two fundamental techniques to enhance the throughput of wireless communication system. The optimized design of complex field network coding scheme in non-orthogonal multiple access single relay system was addressed.Firstly, given the total transmitting power at all source nodes (equal transmitting power at every source node was assumed) and the relay node, the system might achieve the minimal symbol error probability (SEP) when the total transmitting power were equally allocated to all source nodes and relay node.Secondly, the choice of the complex field network coding coefficients plays an important role in the achieved SEP for the non-orthogonal multiple access single relay system was disclosed, and the optimized coding coefficient design in terms of the maximal coding gain were presented for arbitrary number of source nodes. It was shown that, the similarity of network coded signal of multiple source signals could be effectively avoided by using the optimized coding coefficient, which accounted for the realized performance improvement in the non-orthogonal multiple access single relay system.…”

Study on adaptive modulation in D2D communications over Nakagami-m fading channel
Published 2018-09-01“…A novel adaptive modulation based on nondata-aided error vector magnitude (NDA-EVM) was proposed to solve the problem of lower spectral efficiency in device to device (D2D) communication over Nakagami-m fading channel. The NDA-EVM was used to evaluate the channel quality. The relationship between NDA-EVM and symbol error ratio (SER) was derived according to the maximum likelihood method.Thereafter, the adaptive modulation mechanism of MQAM with the SER constraint was designed.Considering the joint effect of finite-length queuing and fading channel, the system packet loss rate and spectral efficiency was analyzed.Theoretical analysis and simulation experiments show that NDA-EVM based adaptive modulation accurately gives the modulation threshold and evaluates the relationship between QoS and packet loss rate, the proposed algorithm improves system spectral efficiency while maintaining low algorithm complexity, spectral efficiency improves by 0.752 bit·(s·Hz)-1,compared with traditional algorithm.…”

Step-by-step classification detection algorithm of SPPM based on K-means clustering
Published 2022-01-01“…In view of the high computational complexity in spatial pulse position modulation systems when using maximum likelihood detection algorithm, a step-by-step classification detection algorithm based on K-means clustering was proposed according to the characteristics of signal matrix with spatial pulse position modulation. The signal vector detection algorithm was utilized to detect the index of light source in the training samples. The on K-means clustering algorithm was utilized to acquire the mapping rule between centroid of samples and modulated symbol by offline training.Subsequently, online detection of modulated symbols was achieved based on the mapping rule, and then the index of light sources was detected by exhaustive search. In addition, Monte Carlo method was used to investigate the effects of key parameters such as the number of clusters and initialization times on the system bit error rate (BER) performance.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve an approximate BER performance as the maximum likelihood algorithm on the basis of greatly reducing the computational complexity.Compared with the linear decoding algorithms, the proposed algorithm is also applicable to scenarios where the number of detectors is less than the number of light sources.…”
