Comparison of the recovery profile of sufentanil and remifentanil in total intravenous anesthesia: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Published 2025-01-01“…Introduction: Remifentanil is a short-acting opioid and can be administered during surgery without the risk of delayed postoperative recovery but concerns about hyperalgesia and the shortages of remifentanil lead anesthetists to consider long-acting opioids for Total Intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA). …”

Effect of Bariatric Weight Loss on the Adipose Lipolytic Transcriptome in Obese Humans
Published 2015-01-01“…We biopsied subcutaneous adipose tissue in 19 obese individuals (BMI 42 ± 5 kg/m2, 79% female) at baseline and after a mean period of 8 ± 5 months (range 3–15 months) following bariatric surgery. We performed adipose tissue mRNA expression of proteins involved in triglyceride hydrolysis and correlated their weight loss induced alterations with systemic parameters associated with cardiovascular disease risk. mRNA transcripts of adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL), hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), and lipid droplet proteins comparative gene identification 58 (CGI-58) and perilipin increased significantly after weight loss (p<0.05 for all). …”

Published 2019-09-01“…Our results show that the use of cell transplantation leads to the reconstruction of the rectal mucosa over a fairly short time: in 44/57 (77.2 %) patients, the endoscopic picture corresponded to the unchanged rectal mucosa 4 weeks after the surgery. In 13/57 (22.8 %) patients, a complete mucosal reconstruction was achieved 8–12 weeks after the surgery. …”
