Influence of Angiotensin II Subtype 2 Receptor (AT2R) Antagonist, PD123319, on Cardiovascular Remodelling of Aged Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats during Chronic Angiotensin II Subt... by Emma S. Jones, M. Jane Black, Robert E. Widdop

    Published 2012-01-01
“…These results suggest that AT2R stimulation does not significantly influence the antihypertensive effect of chronic AT1R blockade, but plays a role in the regulation of vascular structure. The severe degree of cardiac perivascular fibrosis in senescent animals was regressed by AT1R blockade and this effect was reversed by simultaneous AT2R inhibition, demonstrating an antifibrotic role of AT2R stimulation in the aging hypertensive heart.…”

Electromechanical Performance Analysis of the Hybrid Piezoelectric-Electromagnetic Energy Harvester under Rotary Magnetic Plucking Excitation by Hongyan Wang, Jiarui Hu, Gang Sun, Liying Zou

    Published 2021-01-01
“…The results show that the hybrid P-EMEH can obtain the improved power inputs by reducing the gyration radii of the rotary magnet and shortening the gaps between the two magnets. The structural vibrations can be strongly suppressed owing to the optimal piezoelectric power outputs, which can lead to the occurrence of valleys’ power of the electromagnetic element. …”

UV induced changes in bismuth oxychloride–filled polycarbonate composite films by Vijayashri Ashok Kandagal, Blaise Lobo

    Published 2023-10-01
“…The prepared composites showed three fluorescence emission peaks for pristine PC, at wavelengths of 415, 440, and 467 nm, and the emission peak intensity increases with an increase in FLs and exposure time to UV irradiation. There is a structural transformation of the sample, from the amorphous nature of PC to the crystalline nature of BiOCl-filled PC composite samples, which has been confirmed by the XRD technique; the degree of crystallinity has increased with an increase in FL. …”
