Feedback bit allocation in distributed antenna array systems by Shuai ZHANG, Peng PAN, Cui WANG

    Published 2020-11-01
“…In a frequency division duplex communication system, precoding at the base station usually requires terminal feedback channel state information. In a distributed array system, the channel conditions between the terminal and different access nodes in the cell are different because multiple access nodes are arranged at different locations in the cell. When the resources for feedback channel state information are limited, the allocation method of feedback bit needs to be optimized to improve the overall performance of the system. In a multi-user distributed array system,an access node selection method based on distance threshold was adopted.Based on this method, the quantization characteristics of the random vector quantization codebook and the Taylor expansion method were used to derive the system quantization capacity loss, and then an approximate expression was given.Based on this expression,a feedback bit allocation method was proposed.Compared with other allocation methods, the method of this paper was more universal because it did not limit the number of access nodes selected by the user. The simulation results show that the strategy proposed is superior to the traditional equal-bit allocation scheme and can obtain better performance when the feedback resources are limited.…”

La lutte contre le sida au Maroc : opportunités et limites pour l’accès aux soins des personnes en migration by Camille Fidelin

    Published 2021-06-01
“…A participant observation within the “migrant protection” programme of the Association de lutte contre le Sida (ALCS) in Rabat and a survey of the association’s volunteers carried out in 2014 highlighted the importance of the community health lever in opening up care opportunities for people migrating to Morocco: the association’s volunteers becoming focal points. Nevertheless, this strategy is hampered by various factors: the difficulty of extending the system linked to a specific disease to all types of care, the lack of basic medical cover for all migrants present on the Moroccan territory, and geographically limited access to the cities in which the associations are present. …”

Efficient and secure multi-user outsourced image retrieval scheme with access control by Fuyuan SONG, Zheng QIN, Jixin ZHANG, Yu LIU

    Published 2021-10-01
“…In the cloud-based image retrieval services, the cloud server may not be fully trusted in which may arise privacy concerns. Some privacy-preserving image retrieval schemes have been proposed to protect image privacy. However, the traditional privacy-preserving image retrieval schemes have some weaknesses, such as inefficient and single-user setting. Therefore, an efficient and secure multi-user outsourced image retrieval (EMIR) scheme with access control was proposed.EMIR utilized matrix decomposition and proxy re-encryption to achieve multi-user outsourced image retrieval.By leveraging the techniques of one-time pad and matrix transformation, EMIR supported efficient and secure image retrieval based on Euclidean distance similarity in a privacy-preserving manner. In addition, EMIR applied locality sensitive hashing (LSH) to build searchable indexes in a privacy-preserving manner, which could improve the image retrieval performance.Specifically, a lightweight access control strategy by using role-based polynomial function was designed to authorize the legality of the query user.Security analysis shows that EMIR can protect the confidentiality of the images and the queries. The extensive experiments demonstrate that EMIR achieves efficient image retrieval.…”
