Study on Corrosion Characterization and Mechanism of the Monitoring Tubing under Air-Foam Flooding Injection Well by NING Chuang, ZHANG Liwei, TONG Zhangbing, JING Zhengzheng, YIN Zhifu

    Published 2024-12-01
“…Through long-term corrosion monitoring of the air-foam flooding injection well string on site, the corrosion characteristics of the inner and outer walls of J55 tubing at the upper and lower well sections in the air-foam flooding test area injection well environment were studied. The morphologies of the corrosion products were characterized by SEM and 3D confocal microscopy, and the compositions of the corrosion products were analyzed by energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis.Furthermore, the corrosion mechanism was explored and discussed. The results showed that J55 oil pipe had severe overall corrosion and varying degrees of localized corrosion, with more severe corrosion in the downhole section. The corrosion products on the inner and outer surfaces of different sections of the tubing were different, mainly including Fe0.925O,FeSx,Fe3O4 and FeO(OH).The structure of carbon steel tubing might form cracks and be transgranular micro-cracking during the service of air-foam flooding.…”

Lattice Structure for Improving Cooling Uniformity in HPDC Mould Corners by Essam Abo-Serie, Samuel K. Koranteng-Agyarko

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The model specifically addresses the cooling of an aluminium alloy profile with 90-degree-angled corners, using H13 steel mould properties. The results indicate that implementing a lattice structure as a sleeve around the cooling pipe at the corner two sides improved temperature uniformity by over 42%. …”

A model of energy dissipation at fatigue crack tip in metals by Oleg Plekhov, Aleksei Vshivkov, Anastasia Iziumova, Balasubramaniam Venkatraman

    Published 2019-04-01
“…Experimental and numerical studies investigating fatigue crack growth were conducted on flat samples made of stainless steel AISE 304 and titanium alloy Grade 2. The heat flux from the crack tip caused by plastic deformation localization was measured using the contact heat flux sensor previously developed by the authors. …”

Using DIC techniques to measure strain ranges inside the cyclic plastic zone ahead of a fatigue crack tip by Giancarlo luis Gómez Gonzáles, Julián Andrés Ortiz González, Jaime Tupiassú Pinho de Castro, José Luiz de França Freire

    Published 2019-05-01
“…First, a very refined speckle pattern is applied on the surface of a disk-shaped compact tension specimen of 1020 low-C steel by spraying toner powder over a layer of white paint, a suitable technique to produce the very small dots needed to map surface strain loops on that small region. …”

A Quick Assessment and Optimization Method for a Flutter Aerodynamic Measure of a Typical Flat Box Girder by Feng Wang, Chuan Xiong, Zijian Wang, Congmin Guo, Hua Bai, Jiawu Li

    Published 2020-01-01
“…Based on the modal energy exchange in the flutter microvibration process, the global energy input and local energy input are analyzed to investigate the vibration suppression mechanism of a flat steel box girder with an upper central stabilizer. …”
