Rolling Force Prediction in Heavy Plate Rolling Based on Uniform Differential Neural Network
Published 2016-01-01“…Accurate prediction of the rolling force is critical to assuring the quality of the final product in steel manufacturing. Exit thickness of plate for each pass is calculated from roll gap, mill spring, and predicted roll force. …”

Influence of Distribution Modulus on the Compressive Strength of Ultra-High-Performance Concrete with Coarse Aggregate (UHPC-CA)
Published 2022-01-01“…Therefore, a series of investigations were conducted, covering the following aspects: first, the traditional design procedure, based on the MAA model, of UHPC-CA is revised by taking water and steel fibers into account in the particle packing system. …”

Numerical study of semi-elliptical cracks in the critical position of pipe elbow
Published 2019-07-01“…This work is divided into four main parts: the first part focused on studying and comparing the effect of bending radius of pipe elbow on the maximum of Von-Mises stress values for each radius with the yield stress of the steel of the pipe. The second part focused on the creation of a semi-elliptical crack for different locations along the elbow angles to show the critical position compared to the stress intensity factors. …”

ANALYSIS OF THE VARIATION OF VIBRATIONS THAT APPEAR DURING TURNING WORKS WITH TRANSVERSE FEED DUE TO THE MODIFICATION OF THE FUNCTIONAL GEOMETRY OF THE CUTTING TOOL
Published 2023-05-01“…Thus, in the work, the optimal constructive geometry of a lathe knife that can be used for turning a piece with a diameter was established 150mm and the vibrations during processing by turning with transverse feed of C45 steel (1.0503): EN 10277-2- 2008- 150mm . Under these conditions, a correlation was identified between the values of the functional geometric parameters of the knife used for transverse turning and the vibrations measured during processing. …”

LIFE EVALUATION OF THE CASTING REPAIR PART AT THE END OF THE WORK ROLL NECK OF A FOUR-HIGH ROLLING MILL
Published 2024-08-01“…As the core component of strip mills, roll consumption has an essential influence on the production cost. With the increasing demand for cost reduction and efficiency increase caused by the intensifying competition of iron and steel enterprises, the recycling of roll re-manufacturing has been gradually promoted. It is one of the main ways to transform the largesize roll of the large rolling mill to a small rolling mill after its work layer consumption. For rolls with local size, especially those with insufficient shoulder size, casting lengthening is usually adopted to meet the needs of further use.The service life of the roll after casting joint repair and re-manufacturing becomes the key to ensuring safe production.Because of the above problems, the fatigue performance test was carried out on the roll casting part sample. At the same time, the torsional fatigue model was used to predict the life of the roll neck after the repair of the work roll based on proving the calculation accuracy and combining it with the load spectrum established based on the field production data. The expected service life met the performance requirements of the repaired roll on the site.It can provide theoretical support for establishing an on-site roll safety maintenance system.…”
