Comportamento a fatica dei giunti saldati in funzione della densità di energia di deformazione locale: influenza dei campi di tensione singolari e non singolari by Paolo Lazzarin

    Published 2009-06-01
“…The volume becomes a circular sector under plane strain conditions, with the radius being about 0.3 mm for welded joints made of structural steel. The mean value of the SED mainly depends on the singular stress fields when the main plate thickness is large enough, whereas the influence of the T-stress component cannot be neglected in the case of thin-walled welded joints. …”

Occurrence of Vanadium in Belgian and European Alluvial Soils by V. Cappuyns, E. Slabbinck

    Published 2012-01-01
“…Vanadium (V) is a naturally occurring trace element, but total concentrations in soils and sediments are also dependent on the parent material and might be influenced by anthropogenic activities (e.g., steel industry). Despite the fact that threshold values for V in soils and/or sediments exist in various European countries, in Belgium, V is not taken into account when the environmental quality of soils and sediments has to be evaluated, despite the existence of several (diffuse) sources for V. …”

Investigation of the Influence of Local Low Strength Concrete on the Bearing Capacity of Bending Reinforced Concrete Beams by A. G. Tamrazyan

    Published 2024-02-01
“…Modified models are adopted to describe the concrete properties and an ideal elastic-plastic model is adopted for the steel properties. The beam was divided into three main parts: one sensitive to bending moment, the second sensitive to shear, and the third sensitive to bond. …”

FATIGUE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF CASTING CRANES CONSIDERING NON⁃LINEAR CUMULATIVE DAMAGE by YAN MengYu, WEI GuoQian, DUAN RuoChen

    Published 2024-08-01
“…Aiming at the fatigue problem of casting cranes in service process, considering the actual service load spectrum, the fatigue performance of casting cranes was analyzed based on the non⁃linear cumulative damage principle.Firstly, the stress time history of the key fatigue hot spots of the in⁃service casting crane in a steel plant was measured. Then, the one⁃dimensional load spectrum was compiled based on the two⁃parameter rain flow counting method and Goodman equal life equation. In addition, the commonly used linear cumulative damage model and low⁃high and high⁃low non⁃linear cumulative damage model were used to calculate and analyze the damage and life characteristics of the key parts. The results show that the fatigue load spectrum of casting cranes is closely related to the location of fatigue calculation point and the actual service process.Compared with the commonly used linear cumulative damage model, the non⁃linear cumulative damage model has higher prediction accuracy, and more conservative life prediction results can be obtained by using the high⁃low load loading sequence.…”
