Collapse Pressure Analysis of Transversely Isotropic Thick-Walled Cylinder Using Lebesgue Strain Measure and Transition Theory by A. K. Aggarwal, Richa Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma

    Published 2014-01-01
“…From this analysis, it has been concluded that, under the influence of internal and external pressure, circular cylinder made up of transversely isotropic material (beryl) is on the safer side of the design as compared to the cylinders made up of isotropic material (steel). This is because of the reason that percentage increase in effective pressure required for initial yielding to become fully plastic is high for beryl as compared to steel which leads to the idea of “stress saving” that reduces the possibility of collapse of thick-walled cylinder due to internal and external pressure.…”

DESIGN AND STUDY A NEW TELESCOPIC ARM USED IN NARROW SPACE by LIU XiangYong, LI WanLi, WANG WenJia

    Published 2017-01-01
“…As it is difficult to check water pumps and fuel boiler pipes, design and study a telescopic boom used in narrow space.Adopt steel tape to design telescopic arm,and the tapes’ edges are welded to form mechanical arm.Motor drive the divided wheel by gears, divided wheel drive steel tape to stretch, and telescopic boom has curly storage function. The arm’s section parameters include thickness, central angle, arc length;By the thin shell theory, analyze and calculate the central angle.Based on the Workbench software, analyze the central angle and thickness’ s infiuences to X and Y direction deformation. Results show that with the increase of central angle, the Y direction deformation decreases gradually, and the X direction deformation increases gradually.Deformation rate changes quickly before 40 °,and changes slowly after 40 °.With the increasement of thickness, the X and Y direction’s deformation rate are smaller.Based on theory and simulation, the final thickness is 0.1 mm and the central angle is 45 °.Finaly through experiments, verify the arm’s section parameters and bearing capacity.…”

Study on Construction Technology of Rock-socketed Pile Group for Offshore Wind Turbine Generators by CHENG Zishuo

    Published 2020-01-01
“…This paper simulates and analyzes the driveability of steel pipe pile under complex geological conditions by the GRLWEAP software, and studies the construction technology of integrated rock-socketed pile group based on the statistical analysis of the construction efficiency of different rock-socketed equipment, such as percussion drill, rotary drill and auger drill. The results show that:When the bottom of the steel pipe pile in the granular strong weathered rock exceeds a certain depth,it is necessary to adopt the secondary pile sinking technology, which can effectively improve the efficiency of pile sinking.Under the engineering geological condition, the drilling efficiency of the rotary drill in the strong weathered rock layer is about 1.75~3.00 times that of the percussion drill, and the drilling efficiency in the weak weathered rock layer is relatively high. The drilling efficiency of auger drill increases obviously in most of the soil and rock layers such as sandy soil and strong weathered layers. The efficiency of the percussion drill in the covering layer is about 120% of that of the rotary drill. The successful construction of a high-power offshore test wind field shows that the optimized construction technology of rock-socketed piles has achieved good results in practical engineering applications.…”
