    “…GaitWatch 3D gait analysis and sports training system was used to measure velocity, swing time asymmetry ratio and step length asymmetry ratio.Results1) Muscle thickness: compared with that before treatment, the thickness of RF and TA muscles in the control group increased significantly after treatment; the thickness of EO, IO, TrA, RF and TA muscles of the experiment group increased significantly after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (<italic>P</italic>&lt;0.05). Compared with the control group, there was significant increases in thickness of EO, IO, RF and TA muscles in the experiment group (<italic>P</italic>&lt;0.05). 2) Gait velocity, swing time asymmetry ratio, step length asymmetry ratio: compared with that before treatment, gait velocity of both groups after treatment increased significantly, and step length asymmetry ratio decreased significantly, the difference was statistically significant (<italic>P</italic>&lt;0.05).ConclusionThe aquatic treadmill training can improve the affected side muscle thickness, gait velocity and step length asymmetry ratio of patients with hemiplegia after stroke, and is recommended for clinical application.…”
