(2) Medicine availability significantly influences prescribing decisions, often taking precedence over clinical needs. (3) The procurement process, although structured, is flawed owing to rigid adherence to the Standard Medicine List (SML). (4) Rationality in procurement is compromised by disregard for AMR, with decisions driven more by cost and demand than clinical evidence. (5) The clinical acumen of pharmacists is underutilized in procurement due to multifarious barriers. …”

Cost-Effective Treatment of Hemihydrate Phosphogypsum and Phosphorous Slag as Cemented Paste Backfill Material for Underground Mine by Xilong Xue, Yuxian Ke, Qian Kang, Qinli Zhang, Chongchun Xiao, Fengjian He, Qing Yu

    Published 2019-01-01
“…The results show that (1) the UCS of CPB increases with the increase of the HPG content and mass fraction, and the addition of 3% quicklime can eliminate CO2, H2S, and SO2 generated from the slurry of CPB-based HPG-PS; (2) the addition of 3% quicklime and 5% cement to the HPG-PS mixtures can offset the strength loss of CPB in the late curing stage; (3) the UCS of the recommended specimen reaches 1.15–3.32 MPa after curing from 7 to 28 days, with their slump values varying from 15 mm to 26 mm, and the bleeding rates between 0.87% and 1.15%, which can meet the technical requirements of mining methods; (4) the UCS of CPB is the result of the cohydration reaction of hemihydrate gypsum (HG) in HPG and active Al2O3 and SiO2 in PS; and (5) the leaching indexes meet Category IV of the Chinese Groundwater Quality Standard (DZ/T 0290-2015). The results of this investigation provide a cost-efficient way for the efficient mining of phosphate resources and the comprehensive utilization of HPG and PS.…”

Data obtained show that in chewers blood samples the concentration was ranked as follows: p,p’-DDE (14.26µgL-1) >p,p’-DDT(5.88µgL-1) > Gamma BHC (3.378µgL-1)  >Beta BHC (2.336µgL-1)>Delta BHC (0.506 µgL-1).Whereas ,in sprayer workers the concentration was ranked as follow:p,p’-DDE (13.245µgL-1) >p,p’-DDT(5.468 µgL-1) > Gamma BHC (3.13µgL-1)  >Beta BHC (2.169 µgL-1) >Delta BHC (0.469 µgL-1) and in farmers blood sample the concentration of pesticides was as follow;p,p’-DDE (0.193µgL-1) >p,p’-DDT(0.192µgL-1) > Gamma BHC (0.11µgL-1)  >Beta BHC (0.07µgL-1) >Delta BHC (0.02µgL-1).There is significant difference in mean concentration of delta BHC,gammaBHC,betaBHC,,ppDDE and ppDDT in blood serum among spray workers and farmers as well as khat chewers and farmers.Furthermore, onepesticides:ppDDE had residues above ADI in blood serum of khat chewers and spray workers. Therefore, vigilant monitoring pesticide levels in khat is imperative for addressing environmental and public health concerns. …”
