Real-Time Human Motion Capture Driven by a Wireless Sensor Network
Published 2015-01-01“…The motion of a real object model is reconstructed through measurements of the position, direction, and angle of moving objects in 3D space in a process called “motion capture.” With the development of inertial sensing technology, motion capture systems that are based on inertial sensing have become a research hot spot. …”

Heterogeneous sensor-based rotor attitude detection for a spherical motor using distributed Kalman filtering method
Published 2025-01-01“…Permanent magnet spherical motors (PMSpMs) are new special motors with multiple degrees of freedom capability in a limited space. This paper proposes a heterogeneous sensor-based rotor attitude detection (RAD) approach for the PMSpM using the distributed Kalman filtering method. …”

On the use of clustering workflows for automated microstructure segmentation of analytical STEM datasets
Published 2025-01-01“…However, the UMAP workflow applied to merged 4D-STEM and STEM-energy dispersive x-ray (STEM-EDX) data produced the best cluster output overall, indicating that the correlated information provides beneficial constraints to the latent space. A potential general workflow for analyzing merged datasets to identify structural-composition changes across different material systems is proposed.…”

Randomized geographic-based routing with nearly guaranteed delivery for three-dimensional ad hoc network
Published 2016-10-01“…Usually, two-dimensional routing algorithms have several assumptions that are not valid for three-dimensional spaces. In this article, we propose four different randomized geographic-based routing algorithms that have the following properties: (1) nearly guaranteed delivery rate, by using randomize route to overcome local minimum problems; (2) low overhead, by extracting a virtual backbone of the network and then conducting the routing algorithms over the extracted backbone to decrease the search space; (3) low path dilation, by hybridizing the new algorithms with progress-based routing which have very low path dilation; and (4) works in three-dimensional environment. …”

Data-Driven Method for Passenger Path Choice Inference in Congested Subway Network
Published 2022-01-01“…In a congested large-scale subway network, the distribution of passenger flow in space-time dimension is very complex. Accurate estimation of passenger path choice is very important to understand the passenger flow distribution and even improve the operation service level. …”
