Study on Scour Prevention Test of Three-Bucket Suction Piles for Offshore Wind Farms in Shapa,Yangjiang by LIU Bo, MA Zhaorong, LIU Xiaojian, GUO Huiqun

    Published 2023-01-01
“…By establishing a normal physical model, the scour prevention of the seabed near three-bucket suction piles for offshore wind farms in Shapa,Yangjiang was studied. In view of the scour problem of the suction bucket foundation, protective measures such as riprap, sandbags, and bionic grass were put forward. The results show that when no protection scheme is implemented, the maximum scour depth around the pile in 50 years is 2.34 m;when the protection scheme is implemented, the scour depth around the bucket is significantly reduced and dropped by 44% when sandbags are regularly arranged. The scour depth is reduced by 32% when sandbags are randomly arranged and by 74% when riprap protection is adopted. In addition, the bionic grass not only reduces the scour depth around the pile but also promotes the suspended sand siltation nearby, and the scour depth around the bucket is reduced by about 90% compared with that before protection.…”

Blockage Types and Status Evaluation of Drainage System in Highway Tunnels in Guangdong Province by LI Kejian, LIU Xiabing, WENG Jianhong, ZHOU Yu

    Published 2024-01-01
“…In order to evaluate the blockage status of the drainage system in operational highway tunnels, this paper summarized the types of problems and blockage materials in highway tunnel drainage systems and proposed an evaluation method for blockage status based on investigations of several highway tunnels in Guangdong Province. The results primarily indicated the following:① The water leakage problems in tunnels were closely related to seasonal rainfall over time and were spatially connected to the distribution of unfavorable geological conditions such as karst.and the decline of drainage function caused by drainage system siltation was an important cause of tunnel water damage.② The types of blockage materials in the highway tunnel drainage system included silt, sand and gravel, concrete blocks or foreign matter, and crystallization or scale deposits. The proposed evaluation indicators for blockage status were as follows:filling degree, flow status, turbidity degree, and accumulation degree.③ Based on the priority division of evaluation indicators for blockage status, a blockage status evaluation method of highway tunnel drainage systems was proposed, and this method has been successfully applied to the drainage system remediation project of the Xinwu Tunnel. The research results can provide reference for the operation and maintenance of highway tunnel drainage systems.…”

PREPARATION AND TENSILE PROPERTY OF 3D POROUS LATTICE STRUCTURE FOR SKIN TISSUE ENGINEERING SCAFFOLDS by FANG Chuang, JI XiaoGang, WANG Wei

    Published 2024-08-01
“…Digital light process(DLP)forming method has the high forming speed and accuracy characteristics, and can be better used for the preparation of tiny size structures. Therefore,in this study,a new 3D porous lattice structure obtained by artificial topology⁃optimized square lattice as a single cell and spatial 3D equally spaced array of the single cell was designed. Then a flexible and elastic photosensitive resin by using DLP forming method for preparation experiments was carried out.The influence of DLP printing on the formation of the lattice structure and the forming effect were investigated. The tensile mechanical properties of all samples of complete structure without siltation were studied. The results show that the new porous structure prepared by DLP printing has clear internal pores and good connectivity in which the porosity reached more than 80%,and the elongation at break is also above 856%,among which the tensile toughness of lattice structure 3 is the largest and its comprehensive tensile properties are the best. The structure can be widely used in skin tissue engineering scaffolds, flexible electrodes, fragile product clamping fixtures, etc.…”

Numerical Simulation Analysis on Change of Diversion Ratio of North and South Ports in the Lower Reaches of the Minjiang River by XIA Houxing

    Published 2023-01-01
“…In order to analyze the change of the diversion ratio of north and south ports in the lower reaches of the Minjiang River and the influence of river channel evolution on this ratio, based on previous research,as well as measured data, this paper studies diversion-ratio change through mathematical models.According to the results, from 1997 to 2020,the diversion ratio of the north and south ports of the Minjiang River changed significantly, with the change before 2009 being greater than that after 2009.From 1997 to 2020,the change of riverbed erosion and siltation was the main factor influencing the change of the diversion ratio of the north and south ports. This results in a decrease of 9.1%~10.6% in the diversion ratio of the north port in the event of a flood once in 50~200 years. Moreover, the narrowing of the river plane also impacted the diversion ratio of the north and south ports to a certain extent, with an impact range of about 3%.The research results can provide technical references for improvement and protection management of the north and south ports in the lower reaches of the Minjiang River,as well as river-related development and construction.…”

Research on Flood Impact and River Regime of Skew Bridges Crossing River Bend Based on FVM Method by NIU Jiao, CHENG Jingqing, YAN Xiaoyu, JIA Lei, WANG Zhichao

    Published 2021-01-01
“…Based on finite volume method (FVM) and two-dimension unstructured grid, taking a skew bridge crossing the river bend as the research object, this paper builds a hydrodynamic model of the upstream and downstream of the bridge, and simulates and analyzes the impact of bridge construction on the upstream and downstream water level, flow velocity and river regime under different frequency floods. The results show that:Due to the water blocking action of the piers, the upstream water level of the bridge increases, the flow velocity between the piers increases, and the flow velocity of water face and back face of the piers decreases. As there is a angle between piers of the skew bridge and the natural river course, the water level on the left bank in the downstream rises and the right bank in the downstream drops. The flow velocity and sediment-carrying capacity on the left bank increases compared to those before the project, while those on the right bank decreases, and the affected area was concentrated in the river section near the bridge location. The river section where the bridge is located is bent. The bridge can play a positive role in preventing the siltation of convex bank (left bank) and the scour of concave bank (right bank) downstream the bridge. The research results can provide reference for the design of skew bridge.…”

    Published 2024-08-01
“…The results show that: ① sand mining vessels were mainly distributed in the north lake part of Poyang Lake from 2000 to 2006, and the number of sand mining vessels plummeted in 2008 due to the impact of the banning policy, and 2016 was the peak of sand mining activities, in which the policy regulation is the main factor for the change of spatio-temporal distribution and number and scale of sand mining vessels in Poyang Lake from 2000 to 2021; ② the human sand mining activities have affected to a certain extent the hydrological sediment balance of Poyang Lake to a certain extent; ③ sand mining activities led to a decrease in the beach area in the inlet channel of Poyang Lake and Songmen Mountain area, while the net increase in the beach area in the southeast area of Tangyin was about 7.95 km2, mainly due to siltation caused by the spreading of sediments from inlet tributaries of the lake. …”
