CS-communication integration method in IoT monitoring multiple phenomena by Chengcheng HAN, Li CHEN, Weidong WANG

    Published 2021-03-01
“…The large-scale Internet of things with multi observation phenomenon uses orthogonal multiple access (OMA) mechanism to transmit the observation data of distributed nodes, which will cause great transmission delay and lead to the loss of timeliness of data.To cope with the heavy latency of observations due to OMA, an efficient scheme integrating compressed sensing (CS) technique with communication was proposed for large-scale Internet of things to monitor multiple phenomena. In this proposed scheme, the nodes monitoring different phenomena were assigned to different time durations for transmission.During the assigned time duration, all nodes concurrently transmitted observations to the fusion center (FC)for CS measurement, and the FC recovered observation by CS algorithms. To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, the achievable rate of the observed phenomena was derived, which was closely related to the time allocation of clusters. To further improve the performance, the optimization problems of time allocation were studied under the two objectives of maximizing the total rate and ensuring the fairness of observation. Finally, the performance was verified and analyzed by numerical simulation. The simulation results show that the achievable rate of observations for different phenomena is improved the proposed scheme significantly compared with OMA schemes.…”

Land Cover and Land Surface Temperature in the West Bank, Palestine by Ayah Helal, Zahraa Zawawi

    Published 2024-01-01
“…The framework relies on data retrieved through remote sensing in the years from 1995 to 2021. The results of the analysis conducted through this methodological framework showed that there is an inverse relationship between the increase in built-up areas and LST; however, LST is less inside the built-up areas than in the surrounding areas (open spaces) due to different land cover (unbuilt area with grass and shrubs) and different soil type.…”

Research on the edge-end collaboration framework for deterministic network by Guangmin SONG, Qunqing WANG, Zhanbing HUANG, Xun SHI, Gaojian HAN

    Published 2022-05-01
“…5G vertical industries such as industrial automatic control have strict requirements on network transmission delay and reliability. It was focused on the AGV collaborative carrying scenarios, in which the key quality indicator (KQI) of the AGV collaboration and the requirements for network jitter were analyzed.Existing 5G ultra-low-latency technologies, such as the pre-scheduling mechanism, reduce transmission scheduling latency by reserving a large number of time-frequency resources, which heavily decreases spectrum efficiency. In addition, wireless channel quality factors such as weak coverage and interference, often cause large jitter, making it difficult to meet the service reliability requirements. In order to deal with these challenges, a deterministic edge-end cooperation framework design to guarantee end-to-end latency was proposed.Based on service flow characteristics, resource reservation was utilized to reduce scheduling latency. Moreover, the proposed framework could enhance data transmissions when poor status of channels was sensed. The experimental results show that the edge-end collaboration framework design can effectively increase the delay reliability, reduce the large jitter, and improve the KQI of AGV collaboration.…”
