Analysis of Water and Sediment Characteristics in Rongjiang River Basin
Published 2023-01-01“…The Rongjiang River Basin is a tidal reach, where the movement of water and sediment is complicated.Over the years, sediment deposition and soil erosion are serious.Hence, the study of the variations of water and sediment in the Rongjiang River Basin is of great significance for water area management and river management in the basin.Upon the comprehensive analysis of the water and sediment data of Dongqiaoyuan Hydrological Station in the mainstream of Rongjiang River from 1953 to 2017,the trend analysis of the water and sediment sequence is carried out by the moving average method and Mann-Kendall trend test. The mutation analysis is made by the Mann-Kendall mutation test and ordered cluster analysis.Meanwhile,Morlet wavelet analysis is used to discuss the periodicity of the water and sediment process. The characteristics, variations, and influencing factors of water and sediment in the Rongjiang River Basin are obtained to provide theoretical support and a digital model for further study of the characteristics of water and sediment in the basin.…”

Research and Application Status and Prospect of Ecological River Slope Protection
Published 2022-01-01“…As an important part of river management, river slope protection is a key measure to control soil erosion and non-point source pollution, implement flood control and waterlogging prevention, and improve the ecological environment of a water area.To overcome the limitations of traditional slope protection and ultimately achieve the comprehensive ecologicalization of slope protection, this paper approaches from the perspectives of slope protection forms, structures of aquatic organism habitats, and ecological corridor links and reviews the research and application status as well as remaining problems of ecological slope protection. In addition,it also summarizes the advantages of ecological slope protection in ecological protection and discusses the inadequacies in current river slope protection in light of available research. At last, future research directions for ecological slope protection are proposed. It is noted that more attention should be paid to the innovative development of ecological slope protection forms to provide a reference for the comprehensive ecologicalization of ecological slope protection.…”

Management Efficiency Evaluation of Guangzhou River Chief Based on AHP-Fuzzy Evaluation
Published 2022-01-01“…Different influence indexes are involved in the efficiency evaluation of the river chief system.Considering the index weights and efficiency evaluation of the system, this paper proposed an efficiency evaluation system for the Guangzhou river chief system based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, constructed an index system of three-level influencing factors, obtained the weight of each efficiency index of the river chief system by the AHP method, and used the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the efficiency of the Guangzhou river chief system. The results show that the management efficiency of the system scores 78.283,which is at the good level. However, the overall performance of the river management investment indicators is poor, and the evaluation results are relatively low.Targeted improvement and management are needed to further enhance management efficiency.…”
