Research Progress and Prospect of Reservoir Intelligent Operation
Published 2023-01-01“…Reservoir operation is an important tool to adapt to climate changes and prevent floods and droughts. With the continuously advancing digitization,a new generation of information technology has begun to integrate with traditional reservoir operations.Based on 445 references collected by CNKI from 2000 to 2023 and 412 references in the core collection database of Web of Science, this paper employs CiteSpace to analyze the status and trend of intelligent operation research.Meanwhile,it systematically sorts out two types of operation technologies including model building and model solving, and six types of information technologies containing knowledge graphs, the internet of things, big data, cloud platform, artificial intelligence, and digital twins. Finally, the intelligent operation provides new ideas for reservoir group operation in river basins, but it still needs further breakthroughs in fields such as thorough perception, data mining, universal model building, and intelligent decision-making.…”

Adaptive-mutation Whale Optimization Algorithm for Flood Control Operation of Reservoir Groups
Published 2023-01-01“…Flood control operation of reservoir groups is a complex nonlinear optimization problem involving multiple dimensions, variables, and stages, and plays a vital role in developing efficient and stable methods to enhance the overall flood control capacity of river basins.Whale optimization algorithm (WOA) is an innovative evolutionary algorithm inspired by whale predation behaviors. However, when it is employed to solve flood control operation, problems of premature convergence and proneness to fall into local optimum will occur. To this end, this paper proposes an adaptive-mutation whale optimization algorithm (AWOA) for solving the flood control operation of reservoir groups. In AWOA,an enhanced chaotic strategy is adopted to ensure the dispersion and uniformity of the initial operation scheme.Secondly,a reverse oscillation mutation strategy is utilized to enhance the global search ability. Finally,an adaptive weight strategy is leveraged to realize local fine exploration.Classical test functions and typical operation scenarios in West River show that the proposed method has significant peak shaving effects under various scenarios. With a fast convergence rate and high search accuracy,AWOA provides a novel and practical method for solving the flood control operation of reservoir groups.…”

Flood Period Classification Forecast Based on Information Fusion and Recognition
Published 2023-01-01“…To solve the low simulation accuracy of flood forecast models caused by limited historical flood data in river basins, this paper employs the K-means clustering method to cluster typical floods by taking reservoir A as the research object.Meanwhile,it analyzes hydrological influencing factors such as rainfall intensity, rainfall center, and weather system, calculates various parameters of confluence models through a genetic optimization algorithm, and adopts a rough set method to explore the relationship between influencing factors and flood period confluence patterns. Finally, the flood period classification forecast based on information fusion and recognition is conducted. The results are as follows:① The absolute and relative errors of the four selected typical floods calculated by the classification forecast method are 9.01 m3/s and 2.95%,116.46 m3/s and 6.78%,30.92 m3/s and 17.55%,and 6.12 m3/s and 1.86% respectively;② The simulation accuracy of the flood classification forecast model built in this paper is higher than that of the traditional forecast methods, and the determination coefficients of different typical floods are all above 0.8.The results can provide references for the flood period classification and forecast in north China and other regions with less flood data.…”
