Failure recovery algorithm for LRT and transaction property analysis
Published 2012-04-01“…Researchers have worked on recovery strategies of composition transactions, most efforts focus on transaction consistency by backward recovery, compensation is commonly used for backward recovery, which have limitations since the cost of compensation tasks are rather expensive, and the compensation mechanism can not satisfy various requirements of applications.A transaction recovery algorithm was proposed including forward recovery, backward recovery and alternative recovery, which was a formal modeling method based on extended Petri nets, state token, data token and QoS token were introduced to implement relaxed ACID properties of LRT.When failure occurs, terminate dependency point (TDP) and compensation set were calculated dynamically, recovery strategies were added or deleted automatically according to the data flow dependency, control flow dependency and state dependency among tasks.Failure types are generated by log file mining, therefore, failure coordination and recovery are implemented and an executable model which support add/delete failure recovery behavior is constructed seamlessly.…”

A computation offloading scheme for energy consumption optimization in Internet of vehicles
Published 2023-10-01“…In Internet of vehicles (IoV), vehicle-oriented applications are generally computation-intensive and latency-sensitive.Introducing idle computing resources from mobile vehicles as a supplement to network computing power can effectively alleviate the load pressure on edge servers. The problem of task allocation for edge computation offloading in the context of IoV environment were researched.By fully leveraging the combined computing resources of roadside units (RSU), user vehicles, and mobile vehicles within the RSU service range, a computation offloading strategy based on the sparrow search algorithm was proposed and referred to as sparrow search based computation offloading scheme (S2COS), aiming to optimize the overall system energy consumption. In addition, this strategy fully taked into account practical network issues such as service time constraints caused by vehicle mobility and the potential occurrence of computation node failures. The simulation results demonstrate that S2COS can meet the latency requirements for computation-intensive and latency-sensitive tasks, while significantly reducing system energy consumption.…”

Effects of phase noise on subcarrier modulation performance over Malaga turbulence channel
Published 2018-11-01“…The performance of wireless optical system employing subcarrier phase-shift keying modulation was researched, which was influenced by phase noise of system demodulator under on Malaga atmospheric turbulence channel.Combined Fourier series and MeijerG function properties, the probability density function of instantaneous signal to noise ratio in the Malaga turbulence model was got.The Fourier series of receiving signal phase and the closed form expression of symbol error probability were derived, which were in the wireless optical subcarrier shift keying modulation system.Under different modulation order and light intensity fluctuation variance, the influence of phase noise on the system symbol error rate was analyzed. The numeric results present that the system symbol error rate increases with the light intensity fluctuation variance when the phase noise is lower. When the phase noise is larger, the influence of modulation order is greater than of turbulence intensity to the error-rate floor appearing. And with the increasing of modulation order, the corresponding average signal to noise is lower when symbol error-rate floor appears.…”
