WSN clustering routing algorithm based on PSO optimized fuzzy C-means by Aijing SUN, Shichang LI, Yicai ZHANG

    Published 2021-03-01
“…Aimed at the problems of limited energy and unbalanced load in wireless sensor network, POFCA based on particle swarm optimization fuzzy C-means was proposed.POFCA was respectively optimized from the cluster stage and the data transmission stage. In the clustering stage, the particle swarm optimization fuzzy C-means was firstly used to overcome the sensitivity to the initial clustering center. And the cluster head was dynamically updated according to the remaining power and the relative distance of the nodes to balance the network load. Then in the data transfer phase, a path evaluation function was designed based on the distance factor, the energy factor and the nodal load.Besides, the cat swarm optimization was used to search the optimal routing path for the cluster head to balance the load of the cluster head without increasing the load of the relay node. The simulation result shows that compared with algorithms of LEACH and LEACH-improved, POFCA can effectively balance the network load, reduce the energy consumption of nodes and extend the lifetime of the entire network.…”

Performance analysis of dual-hop PLC-FSO communication system by Shenghai CHEN, Xiaoqin YAN, Sai LI, Liang YANG

    Published 2021-10-01
“…A dual-hop power line communication and free-space optical communication (PLC-FSO) system was proposed, where an amplify-and-forward (AF) relay was applied to help the signal transmission between the PLC link and the FSO link.More specifically, it was assumed that the PLC link was affected by both additive background noise and impulsive noise, and the channel fading followed log-normal distribution, while the fading induced by the atmospheric turbulence in the FSO link followed a Gamma-Gamma distribution, and the effect of pointing errors was also considered.Based on this model, closed-form expressions for the outage probability, bit error rate, and the channel capacity were derived. In addition, asymptotic analysis for the outage probability and BER, and upper bound expression for the channel capacity were presented. Finally, the accuracy of the analytical results was justified through Monte-Carlo simulations. The results show that the system outage probability decreases as the pointing error parameter increases and the smaller the PLC link impulse noise, the lower the bit error rate. The system capacity increases as the turbulence intensity decreases.…”

WSN clustering routing algorithm based on Cuckoo Search algorithm optimized K-means by Kailei ZHU, Aijing SUN

    Published 2022-03-01
“…In order to extend the lifetime of wireless sensor network (WSN), a clustering routing algorithm for WSN based on Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm optimized K-means was presented. In the clustering stage, the initial cluster centers were selected by CS algorithm, which make the clustering results of the K-means algorithm more uniform to balance node energy consumption. The remaining energy of the node, the distance from the center of the cluster were comprehensively considered in the cluster election, and the weight according to the remaining energy of the node was dynamically adjusted. In the data communication stage, in order to further balance the load of the cluster head, the remaining energy of the relay node and its load, and the cluster head routing energy consumption were comprehensively considered, CS algorithm was combined to plan routing for the cluster head. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is better than LEACH-K, LEACH-improve and DTK-means in terms of energy consumption balance. With the death of the first node as the life cycle of the network, the network lifespan was increased by 173%, 21%, and 6% respectively. The proposed algorithm effectively extending the network life cycle.…”
