Influences of different components on viscosities of CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 melts by Zhang G.H., Chou K.C., Lv X.Y.

    Published 2014-01-01
“…It is also found that when replacing SiO2 by equivalent mole of Al2O3, (i) in CaOAl 2O3-SiO2 system, viscosity increases when Al2O3 content is small relative to CaO content (there are enough Ca2+ ions to charge compensate Al3+ ions), but decreases when CaO content is inadequate for charge compensation; (ii) in MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 system, viscosity always decreases as substituting Al2O3 for SiO2. The reason for this difference for two systems may be resulted from the weak charge compensation ability of Mg2+ ion for Al3+ ion relative to Ca2+ ion. …”

Can growth in captivity alter the calcaneal microanatomy of a wild ungulate? by Cottereau, Romain, Ortiz, Katia, Locatelli, Yann, Houssaye, Alexandra, Cucchi, Thomas

    Published 2023-01-01
“…These results suggest that calcaneal microanatomy is more affected by population differences than by locomotor variation. For all these reasons, this preliminary study doesn’t support the use of microanatomy of the calcaneus as an indicator of change in locomotor behaviour induced by captivity in the archaeological record. …”

Rap1 and mTOR signaling pathways drive opposing immunotoxic effects of structurally similar aryl-OPFRs, TPHP and TOCP by Bilin Zhao, Shuang Zheng, Gaoxiang Yang, Zhijun He, Jiewei Deng, Lijuan Luo, Xinyan Li, Tiangang Luan

    Published 2025-01-01
“…During individual omics analyses, we unfortunately only obtained highly similar results for both TPHP and TOCP, failing to identify the key reasons for their differences. These results revealed comparable disturbances induced by both compounds, including disruptions in nucleic acid synthesis and energy metabolism, blocking ADP to ATP conversion by reducing TCA cycle intermediates, consequently leading to ATP depletion. …”
